It is good to be a woman: 1. We got off the Titanic first. 2. We can scare male bosses with the mysterious gynaecological disorder excuses. 3. Taxis stop for us. 4. We don't look like a frog in a blender when dancing. 5. No fashion faux pas we make, could ever rival the Speedo. 6. We don't have to pass gas to amuse ourselves. 7. If we forget to shave, no one has to know. 8. We can congratulate our team-mate without eve

There's a setting under WindowBlinds that let's you specify if you want scrollbars skinned or not, see if it's checked. Hope it helps
With Icon Packager you can customize all you icons, but for recycle bin only - go to Display properties/ Desktop and choose "Customize Desktop".
1. If you're running Win98, they should be changed when you load an icon package. If not, rightclick, choose properties and change icon 2. If you're running WinXP, Unfortunately, the answer will probably be: "Microsoft removed the ability to customize drive icons in the first release of Windows XP. We believe this was accidental, as Microsoft has not acknowledged our problem reports before releasing XP. We hope that the Windows shell team will restore this functionality in a future update of
Which skin? If you mean WindowBlinds skin, try copying wbload.exe to your Startup folder
This helped when I was running Windows 98, don't know about Windows 2000: 1. Open C\Windows\Regedit.exe,or x\winnt\regedit.exe. 2. Find the key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics" 3. Select it. 4. On the right there must be a string value called "Shell Icon BPP", if it's not there, create it. 5. Rightclick on it, choose Modify. 6. Enter your color depth, i.e. 16, 24 or 32. 7. Restart.
Uncheck "Use all possible colors", Sometimes it lowers color display to 16 colors. Restart. If it doesn't help, there's a tweak at www.VirtualPlastic.net that explains how to set your color format back to 24 or 32 bit

Go to Display properties / Appearance / WindowBlinds/ System and see if "Do not use any XP specific skin features" box is checked.
In Windows 98, start menu is not skinned, but in XP it should be, even if you have a shareware version. Try loading a different skin, some skins don't have XP support
I thinks that's normal, it needs a few seconds to load
Which program did you use to create your screensaver? ACD's FotoAngelo lets you ad music to it,with ScreensaverBuilder you can add more than one song...
To hack dlls? Hmm! How? I tried ResouceHacker, but it doesn't allow me to make changes to shell32
Thanks, paxx
Since WB skins, icon packages and wallpapers usually come seperately, is there a way to add a matching icon package or wallpaper to a WB skin so they would all be loaded at once. Or do I have to do download WinStyles to do that? Thanks
I believe Citizen Slipstream Snake is running XP, since the same thing happened when I installed XP. Dialogs show default icons too!?
Go to display properties - appearance and check if the skins are already installed, if not, click the "add" button and point to the directory where the skins are. You don't have to unzip the skins, just select the skin and click "open".
I had the same problem - partial skinning: start button and clock were skinned, but there was a gray hole in the middle. Reinstalling 5 times helped!! But to me, it happened only with Adni's skins!? Weird!
It happens to me from time to time - some skins download ok, but others end up in "Temporary Internet files". So, every time i visit WinCust, I search *.wba(or *.zip) in that folder later, just in case there are some skins there.
Try Ulead PhotoImpact, it has some cool filters for making metallic and plastic effects
Thanks I reinstalled WB again, and my favourite skins look great again!

I just got XP and got this problem - whenever I tried to load any of Adni's skins, the same thing happened - the taskbar wouldn't be skinned!?, startbutton and systray work fine, but the taskbar looks like a Classic Windows skin! I'm confused!? I tried uninstalling, but it doesn't help
