The refurbed HP ........ If HP opened up the laptop to replace something inside, they probably failed to re-connect the speaker wires. Download the appropiate manual from HP, follow the procedure for taking the lid off to expose the guts and check the speaker connection. [e digicons]:)[/e]
Gotta love Fences ....
[e digicons][/e] ....Thanks Zubaz. I'm working on something. [e digicons][/e]
Do you mind sharing how you "sorted it out"? [e digicons]:)[/e]
Windows 7 x64 .... I have a USB-Serial adaptor (PL-2303 chip) that I use to run my 3D CAD spaceball. The only way I can get it operational is to use the F8 " Disable driver signature enforcement" option. I've searched far and wide with no luck finding signed Vista 64bit drivers for the PL-2303 adaptor. Unfortunely, I'm sure the option to run unsigned drivers will disappear in the Win 7 final release. I use a MYBOOK 500gb ESATA ... It's been working great for me. [e digicons]:)[/e]

Mike .... very nice looking site. [e digicons]:)[/e] I registered, but mistyped my email address. I'm hoping you can fix it (it's obvious). Probably why I can't log on. [e digicons]XD[/e] TIA
Does anyone have MS Money 2007 working? I get an error trying to install (something about shared libraries). I'm running released beta 7000, x64. I've turned off Kaspersky, run as admin, and Vista compatible with no luck.
If your using vista64, replace the files in "program files(x86)\stardock\desktopgadgets\gloss burgundy weather" with the files in this zip supplied to me by your techie Curt Hendzell. http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/GlossBurgundy_Weather.zip
The above zip file eliminates the need for vista64 user to copy the stardockweather.ocx to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock directory.
If there is some super-secret way of doing this maybe you could enlighten us, but if it's not functional, it's rejected.
If your using vista64, replace the files in "program files(x86)\stardock\desktopgadgets\gloss burgundy weather" with the files in this zip supplied to me by your techie Curt Hendzell. http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/GlossBurgundy_Weather.zip Curt was working with me on the vista64 problem ... I don't know if these files are the final
I'm running Vista64. The 64 bit bat file doesn't work .... this bat file registers stardockweather.ocx in the programs files(x86)\common files\stardock folder. (which already exists and allows my other weather gadgets to run). The only way Burgundy will run is if the stardockweather.ocx is registered in the program files\common files\stardock folder.
Regarding the Weather problem ... Seems odd that the Burgundy Theme points to the Program Files\Common Files\Stardock directory for the stardockweather.ocx file. The two other Themes I use (Think Green and OSU) point to the Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Stardock directory.
Install_Weather.Bat file worked for me (must re-boot). Autorun (checked) works too. I realize this fix is for the Weather gadget, but is anyone working on the problem with the clock? Clock gadget second hand doesn't move unless you mouse-over, then it may jump ahead 2-5 sec ... mouse-off, stops again.
