Carriers are definatley what I saw against the AI. I guess that makes the flak units useful, which they weren't before the patch. LRMs are still effective, but not as overwhelming as before. Overall I like the new patch. I need to play vasari next, and see how they changed, the AI massed more stuff than I was used to seeing before, and that is a good thing. Elric of Melnibone is pretty cool, but All of Moorcock series are the same. So if you read Elric don't bother with Corum, or any of the other 5 or 6. His standalone stuff was good though. I would have to say Tolkien is my favorite.

It is required to get the updates, if this is the "future" I may never buy another starrdock game. Why can't I go to a website and just download the patch?????? Every other non-MMO game works that way, "WORKS" being the operative word. The impulse installer won't even run on my vista machine. I didn't pay to be a beta tester for startdock, I bought a video game.

I would love to update sins, but everytime I try to install that piece of !@#$ impulse setup program, it gives me connection errors. It just keeps giving me IMPD01-300 and IMPD02-300 errors with a retry/cancel panel. If I retry, it just cycles through those two errors as long as I am willing to click the retry box. And yes, I even tried it with the firewall turned off, I even moved the machine into my DMZ and tried it. My guess is that you guys either have the
