A karma system might include a screen at the end of a game that displays: all the people you played with (and their demigods, in case you forget usernames) a section where you give a thumbs up/down a drop-down menu with categories/sub-categories for why you chose to give or take karma a comments section If you want to get crazier, maybe add the ability to add or take karma on multiple issues. The health bar display is really awesome, and I like that there are multiple settings to which bars you see. However it'd be even AWESOMER if there was a check box in options related to it, so that it stays the same for every game you start. Game on.

I was one of the users that suffers from high CPU demands due to sound (though I don't know why, you'd think a core2 would be alright...). I started playing with nosound and that helped with the CPU load a bit, but still wasn't great. I updated to the beta patch, which claimed to resolve sound issues, and though the CPU load is MUCH BETTER, the sound will cut out every minute or so after a certain point in the game. There doesn't seem to be any specific trigger, it just mute

Levelheaded - I understand your overall message, but I don't appreciate being called stupid. I've already said that I understand that ignoring is one possible solution. I have been nothing but calm and "somewhat refined". My post isn't about whining and insisting that these players be banned. My post is about a solution that would help cater to your preferences for the type of people you play with. Yes, ignoring is an option. Yes, I could sit there and filt
Or you could ignore their trashtalk, don't play with them again and save everybody a lot of time.
I think you're missing my point. I don't WANT to play with them again, but I don't want to be a leaver or have to consult my written list of every player I prefer not to play with. I'm looking for a system for that to happen without becoming what I dislike. I'm with you on one point, I won't play with them again.

That's my issue though, is this an issue that Stardock would be willing to address? It's kind of a touchy issue for the publisher to ban certain players based on what's sort of a subjective offense. Maybe if they built in a personal banlist to tie into the netcode of connecting players. So I have person x on my list, and if that player is an option for a skirmish, it would disregard that game for the banner, not the ban-ee, which would result in a voluntary delay of connecti

So I just had a disappointing experience playing a skirmish. Up until this point, I've only encountered two types of DG players; polite, mature people, and the silent ones. Now, I know I was bound to come across a hater eventually, but I was really hoping... The mentality of the players on bnet is one I really found to make me uncomfortable. The disconnect between acceptable behavior in real life and behavior on the internet gives people carte blanche to insult and d

After joining a friend's game, we were disconnected while still in the lobby. Received error message, hit OK, then game lobby disappears but doesn't take me back to the Internet Game browser, just leaves me with the gold background image and no other graphics or buttons.

During the death camera rotation, I pressed "p" to ping the map, and the game crashed. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 12/18/2008, 19:37:03 Machine name: JUICE-PC Operating System: Windows Vista™ Business (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1 (6001.vistasp1_gdr.080917-1612) Language: E

It kind of sounds like a cell phone is near a speaker at some points, and then more like fuzzy radio interference. All the sounds are there and audible, but the crackle is annoying enough to be noticed. Dxdiag: http://pastebin.com/ff3e3a83

Agreed. I opened task manager to see how much the game was using, and it said Demigod was using 1.2 GB of my RAM. Wow. 8800GT, Core2duo, 2GB DDR2 seems like it shouldn't slowdown on low settings, right? Perhaps it was due to the game having to work AI for 9 AI's, but it still should be playable....

I agree with pretty much everything in this post. And before it gets suggested, yes, we know there are game options to change the gold income and death times, but Normal, which is supposed to be the basic gameplay, could use some tweaking. I just played against Oak, with myself as Oak, and he was the biggest tank on their team, which seems contradictory to the idea of the generals...
Right click on buildings should use them just like right clicking on units to attack.
I strongly disagree. What strategy game have you played in the last 15 years that operates that way? AoE, WC, SC, SupCom, BFME, all of these games employ a "right click is for move and attack orders" and "left click is for selection of units, buildings, enemies, etc" structure. Right clicking

I was previously unable to play with a friend without xlink kai with Beta 1, but with the release of Beta 1-A, we can now play with just Hamachi. I still can't host, but I attribute that to either port routing or Vista. I'm running Vista, he's running XP. Good luck.

Please read existing posts firsts. As it has been stated before, the scores are incorrectly placed a column to the left. You had 14 kills, 1 death, 3 assists, a kill streak of 5, etc... This doesn't mean the numbers are acurate either, as games have been reported to have incorrect stats even accounting for the offset.

I've had two things happen with end game screens. Either the levels are off, and mostly everything else is zero, or the correct stats show up one column to the left of the column they should be in. For example, I'll end with level 18, 6 kills, 2 deaths, and 4 assists, but it will say my level is 6, I have 2 kills, and 4 deaths.

Mmmm after playing him against a friend who was playing UB, I can understand the frustration. If they were going to make balance changes with 1-A, they probably should have gone the other way with Reg. It's almost as if they didn't test him in the office. Weak mines, weak nuke, weak initial attack, and low life. What are the pros to playing this character? Stasis mines do negligable damage and stun for such a short period of time that you can only get in a maximu

I don't think you understood what tesb was saying. He's saying that the devs aren't claiming this is a balanced release. Beta 1-A is about engine testing, not gameplay. Though I understand your concern, I really don't think an all caps rant is what devs are looking for in a beta feedback situation.
