Modifying State Shapes in a New Map in Political Machine PolMach Forums

I have created a new map to be the 1940 Election of my alternate history in which the CSA won the Civil War (inspired by but not based on Harry Turtledove's books). In 1940, some states have different shapes. The US has annexed part of northern Louisiana from the CSA and California has split in two. I would love to go through a primary season prior to the main campaign. To me, primaries would seem more difficult, because you're competing against 6 or 7 members of the same party as you. This could make charisma, comeliness, etc. much more important than they are in the general election. Also, when picking your running mate, picking someone who captured certain states in the primaries could help you pick up those states in the general election, regardless of whether the VP is from those st
