Woah, I didn't expect the game to get any further updates :o
snip
Well, I imagine that the US is "researching" a whole bunch of things that probably won't come to fruition in our lifetime, because while the funding for various stuff exists, the funding might be too small for anything vital to be discovered. Personally, I love the idea of being able to research EVERYTHING, as long as there's enough to research - though I don't mind having predetermine
I think that in a real galactic empire, you'd be researching pretty much everything and anything possible, as new/better technology = power. From a gameplay perspective, though, it would make sense to allow a player to research multiple new technologies, but with obvious drawbacks and benefits. You could spend all your resources working on improving your shield technology, or you could split your research resources into both shield and weapon technology. The more re
I very much rally in the idea of having a nice big fun multiplayer game in GalCivIII, but I agree that this doesn't sound like something that would translate well into a versus combat, no matter the scale or scope. A single game would simply be too long for that - and if most people are anything like me; they hate losing to a vastly superior player. Co-op multiplayer however sounds amazingly fun, and I would very much enjoy it being one of the core aims for the game. There's simply no
I am very much looking forwards to it! :D
Your pre-order will get billed when BETA2 goes live (which should be within the next week or two) - you'll get beta access as soon as your Credit Card is billed. ;)
https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/335474 I still suggest you buy Entrenchment though ;)
Quoting Mromson, reply 4 I never lock teams, so my point stands. I am well aware that Human Players can do a far better job than AI, but that ain't my point. I am not that interested in playing against players due to the giant timesink I like to put into my games - at best I'll play co-op with a friend or two, My point is that when I play 10 FFA (Unlocked) against the AI it just seems to give up around the time when I am close to ma
You say that the AI won't gang up on you. Do you have the game set to Locked Teams with each AI being on its own team? Try playing the 10 man FFA in unlocked teams and see what happens. (At least in the past they would all end up ganging up on you.) You could also just set the game to 9 v 1 with locked teams with you being the one. Another idea would be to design custom maps in Galaxy Forge where
What I would like is simple - I'd like to have an option where the AI is relentless and doesn't give up. Regardless of how powerful I get, it won't give up, perhaps it'll even scale up its difficulty when possible. Because even when I'm playing against the toughest AI (where the AI even cheats on resources <.<) it all slows down to a stop once I've built myself up well enough. What's oddest of all, even when I'm playing 10 FFA, the remaining 9 opponents don't seem to gang up on me - lea
I remember Steam's first year.. God good what a nightmare. The software still isn't stable. Servers constantly crashing my friends list is getting annoying. >_> That said people are less forgiving when something better is already available.

Well, I figured I'd make an highly exciting blog test about Cookies, Cake and burned Marshmellows. I should probably also greet everyone, say hi and such. TEST Hi Everyone! And now back to playing Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment while waiting for Demigod and Elemen
This game is gonna be sooo sweet :D
Did you try sorting your processes by name? That way the program will stay in one place regardless of CPU activity. Also, you should uninstall impulse and redownload the latest version.
So what time will the 1.1 Patch be released?! I'm really looking forward to it. :(
Looks like someone is doing well! ;)
The easiest way to fix the DRM issue is to simply look at what the consumer wants. Piracy isn't there just cause people are theifs, it's merely a result of an old buisness model that refuses to adapt. The Music, Video and Gaming industry is failing because they are trying to change the consumer to follow their rules, instead of listening to what the consumer wants and needs. Most politicians fail to understand that society doesn't like to be controlled, without choice - order won't re
Generally I mind DRM because it gives me trouble. Here I am, with my new game - I want to install the game, and I want to play the game without any worry and have fun. Plain and simple. I want to be able to install it on as many PC's as I like and play it with, or without internet connection. Upon Install, I only require my CD-key. Nothing more. Should I want to update my game, I don't mind installing something like Impulse and let it download and install patches for me
Any ETA on when we can expect v1.10 to go live? Next month? October? November? ...December? :)
Can't say I know what I'm talking about (since I bought the game very recently), but seeing how you can adjust the fleet sizes - it greatly reduce the ability to quickly eliminate the opponent. As it simply reduces the firepower for everyone, yet keeping the defensive power intact. Hmm, time to try that out. XD
is the ts server offline?
