Heya, crtl-U doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone know where I can find a list of the cheat commands? I'm very interested to see how the AI plays in early game. I'm getting really frustrated, lol. Thrashed it on Challenging and now I have lost 4 or 5 games in a row on hard and it seems the AI is just going crazy in every respect, way more units and way more levels!

@abob101 - Yeah I'm just talking about Sov's in the post above, I'm aware other champions start at higher levels. I have not seen an enemy sov under level 5. I ran a game where my only intention was to meet the AI ASAP so I could check the foreign relations tab and check their level. Granted it took me a few turns to get there, but I was on a tiny map and just went in one direction from the start. Met them both pretty soon, one was level 5 and one was level
Hmm... Having investigated a little more, I think they are starting at level 5!
Every game I play the AI seems to have more Champions and all at higher levels than me. I'm getting quite confused what am I missing? How is it leveling up its Champions so fast? In my most recent game I have explored most of the map (ending at enemy territories) and the AI had not killed the mobs in those areas, they had left the majority of them living. I know because I went around with my two heroes (in seperate stacks) and fought everything, starting with the
lol, thanks for the replies guys! I'll remember not to use any hideous neon colours :-D Cheers, haven't got around to actually making anything custom yet, I was just experimenting in the workshop, hence not realising the building colours!
Heya folks! Noob question here, in the faction appearence options what do primary and secondary colours do? changing them seems to have no effect, cheers!
I have no idea what the problem could be. It looks like your screenshot is in widescreen, I guess that's the only thing that maybe wouldn't have been available a few years back when you last played it. But I imagine the game supports widescreen so I really don't know. Sorry.
Gal Civ 2 is a turn-based strategy whereas Sins is a Real-Time. Gal Civ 2 has waaaaay more depth than Sins. I love Sins and Gal Civ 2, I think if you like one you will probably like the other too, even though they are quite different. In Gal Civ there are many more races than in Sins and you can also make your own race to play as (or against), you also get to make your own ships designing them completely from scratch, which is totally awesome and of course missing fr
Hi guys, I'm a new player and I just have a quick question about creating ship styles for a custom AI opponent. I'm keeping it simple and just replacing the old ships for a race with ones designed myself and not adding anything new. I want them to function as normal but just look like my designs. The problem is weapons and modules, how can I be sure the AI will place weapons in sensible places on my custom design? Do I have to place weapons and modules
Cool thanks Scoutdog, I like that kind of thing. It sort of reminds me of City Journals at Simtropolis for Simcity 4, (if anyone knows what I'm talking about).
Hello everyone, I bought Gal Civ II UE from Impulse about a week ago and just finished my first game last night. I'm really impressed, surprised it took me so long to get around to playing this game. Seems like a really nice community here just like with Sins of a Solar Empire and Impulse was the least hassle I've ever had with buying games online. Stardock are definately one to watch and are now my most trusted developer/publisher (or whatever they are, lol). I play
Do you know if I downloaded this properly? I purchased the Ultimate edition but I had to download the original game and both addons seperately, so it was three downloads. This was about a week ago. It seems to have all the features of each one when I play TA so i think its fine, but the download certainly was not 2GB in one. I think the original was just over 1GB if i recall and the addons about 300mb and 400mb.
I managed to sort it out! Thanks guys for your help. It seems the game was not fond of my alpha channel. I am now using a desaturated version of my colour picture with the contrast turned up and the brightness turned down as my alpha channel. It made the planet look better as well as removing the shadow caused by the star. And ManSh00ter you were right, DTX5 seems to be the right format. Thanks!

The closer you zoom in to the planet the more noticable the shadow becomes. I am using the vanilla Gas Giant Mesh. It has simply been copied, renamed and had the texture changed. I tried saving as DTX5 and I do check generate mip maps ( i also tried
Hello all! This is my first post on these forums, nice to meet you all. I'm currently trying to make my own little mod for Sins and it is slow going but I'm getting there[e digicons]:P[/e] At the moment I have a minor problem with my planet textures that I could use a little hand with. I've created the new planet type and got it in the game and working with my texture looking fine except there is a round shadow on the planets. It only occurs on my textures
