More cowbell, and by cowbell i actually mean death star.

I object.

What angles are we looking at of those renders? I'm confused which way is up and down on that Wyrm. Thanks.
My friend has been playing EvE and concluded: -you waste your time pointing lasers at rocks. -there is very little action. -the graphics are meh. -there is no sense of a "world." So, why do YOU play it and why should I play it?

dolynick, whenever i use galaxy mod, fleet size, and volumetric, I get "no string found" on all the new planets.
Question: My friend chose a gallente/gallente/immigrant. Should I choose a different set-up if we want to join a corp/alliance together? Like maybe amar/khodan/cyber knight? Thanks.
Well, I suppose if you consider an entire map is one solar system, then ya, they'd be impractical or hard to implement at least. But a dyson sphere to surround a gravity well would be doable and cool.

Wicked mod ManSh00ter! Curious, do you plan on adding megalithic structures like dyson spheres or ringworlds? Also, how much longer? haha I can't wait!
what is this? Middle school?

The only lore we've got came from a short cinematic (more like picture-matic) with some voice over. Hopefully, there's a lot more to come. Manual + website lore + forum releases + original sins trailer + opening cinematic + in-game descriptions. There's a fair
What race would you recommend for someone that eventually want to pilot larger ships and possibly get into larger fleet pvp?
I am considering downloading/buying EVE Online. But I'm confused what's the difference between buying the premium edition or apocrypha expansion in stores vs. just downloading it for free here: http://www.eveonline.com/download/ The expansions come with it for free anyway with the subscription. And why would it cost 40 in the stores when you can just download it for free. Lost in Los Angeles.
Why must they do it just because someone else did it? The best games are not those that copy the existing ones. The best ones are the ones that innovate. Hence why Sins is sooo good. It takes RTS to a whole new level....
If they really want to take it to a whole new level, then a dozen perfectly balanced factions would be quite impressive. This was just plain mean.
Oh Risk 2210 FTW!!!!!
I'm actually a big fan of 2210. I'm curious exactly what they could gleam from the diplomacy of 2210. Hmmm. I'm guessing that you will have access to managers who help you with certain aspects of the non-combat game. A Diplomat, an Admiral, A General, etc. Maybe you can ask them for advice or to handle certain things so you don't have to micromanage them... Or, they might
I understand all the concerns with race balance for an RTS, but it just seems a little pointless -- at least thematically -- to be having diplomatic relations with carbon copies of the same 3 races. It hurts the epic vibe of the whole thing. If they want to add the title 4x along with the RTS moniker, then they better understand all the baggage that comes with that. One of theses bags is definitely more races. 4x games in the past: GalCivII: 10 races and
Shadowhal, For example, Sword of the Stars (SOTS) is a turn-based 4x with real-time tactical combat and has SIX races. Its first release had four factions, and added two more with two expansions. It would be a great disappointment to me if SOASE doesn't at least get in the ball park of six races/factions. And quite frankly, the TEC, Advent, and Vasari don't feel different enough as is to warrant the lack of races/factions. Right now, it feels as if Ironclad's
The 4x aspect isn't really going to be there until IC implements more races/factions. I'm not just talking about one or two. We need GalCivII or SEV amounts of races/factions for it to have the feel of an epic space empire game. It'll possibly be harder to balance than other 4x games b/c there is more emphasis on combat, but SOTS did it (with 6). I hope a big expansion adds a least 4 more factions/races.
If you could do a resized Doomstar/battleball, Dyson Sphere , and Ringworld (complete with superweapon ability like in Halo haha), I would be a very happy camper. [e digicons]:D[/e] I guess technically dyson spheres were supposed to be built around stars in order to capture all energy that stars output. And for stellar manipulation: I wonder if you could just resize an explosion animation to be the size of a planet, and somehow make it do a switcheroo to asteroids
Haha. I love this thing. I was hoping someone would create a death star-like ship, so I have a wish (that I can't expect to come true)... Please, please make it be able to destroy a planet, leaving only asteroids behind! And then give it another ability to form planets from asteroids! Sorry, I'm a huge stellar manipulation/conversion fan. I also wish someone would create ring worlds and dyson spheres at some point in a mod. Like you can stum
uhhh. is that thing like a moving starbase? err, what does it do?
