Just one question: as far as I know, there is no 64bit edition of Sins, so even when you install it on a x64 OS, the program itself is still limited to the 2GB RAM per program rule of 32bit software, isn't it?
Sinon
hm? this post shows some whole new parts of google to me. browsing from good OLD (so it seems) Germany, I don't have the link "show options" or even this strange "wonder wheel". but on the other hand I get 110000 more hits when I search for "Stardock". Anyway, Bing only delivers 1/5 of google's results and the Stardock main page is only rank 5, so until Bing gets better bots to stay up-to-date, I think I'll have to stay with google. Besides, may main email address is gmail and there's no way
It's merely all that what Microsoft's Freelancer should have been before it was stripped off all its great ideas. It's Eve for people without a math-diploma.
There's almost no game I play in which I don't long for this feature. A definite must-have!
Das Schwarze Auge: Schicksalklinge
oh yeah, the whole Nordland-Trilogie (it were three games that somewhat belonged together) were one of my earliest games, too. A little bit earlier I remember Dune 2 (tried the XP-version of it from sourceforge and couldn't believe I was ever able to play such a thing :D ) then there was some kind of Olympic Wintergames, Civ2, Age of Empires 1 and of course Monkey Island (every title, except for the 3D-stuff), Discworld, Simon the Sorc
So RPG has devolved into meaning level ups and item selection? Those elements are typically found in RPG games....
like those first person shooters in which you often have to walk and did you notice: in Sims 2, there are walking people, too, so Sims 2 has to be a FPS -.- taking one single element of a RPG and putting it into another game of a different genre doesn't qualify for calling that game a RPG, too. I th
IIRC for me (Vista) it is something like c:\documents and settings\ \localsettings\appdata\ironclad \user.config
the path is C:\documents and settings\\localsettings\appdata\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting\ and the file name is user.setting and not user.config, that's why I didn't find it when I was searching for
Thanks for your answers! @gotyaoi: good to know they are working on this, although I find my proposals still better ;) @Hack78: Where do I find that file? searched for it in the game folder and in appdata but couldn't find it @DKM2: so they basically made the game better than it should ever possibly be because of limitations which even the best PC could never ever overcome? strange things happen these days....
I don't know if this is the right forum to put this thread in, because it's not really beta anymore, but it is a feedback. furthermore I'm sorry if some of my points have already been discussed, but as I would have made up a new thread anyway, one or two lines more won't do no harm. 1. Let's start with Impulse: whenever I buy a game via Impulse using Paypal, two completely empty IE windows open. should they have contet or should they just not appear? 2. RAM: after playing for
is there a way to disable the possibility to surrender? recently I killed one single capital on a map where 3 opponents still had planets and all of a sudden I was told I had won the game. that's rather strange.
Hi, I'm thinking about getting Entrenchment, but as I frequently play in MP with a friend, I just wondered whether or not this will still be possible when I have Entrenchment installed and he hasn't.
I just finished a game playing Vasari and I can confirm that there's a problem with the phase stabalizers in 1.13. In the late game my ships all of a sudden stopped using the formerly working phase routes and I'm talking about in-system jumps. Trade ships by contrast still took advantage of the phase stabalizers. btw: another bug (I guess) I encountered: the Vasari carrier uses its repair cloud non-stop. Even if there's not one damaged ship around. It's always out of an
one more option I'd like to see is the possibility to throttle the bandwidth which Impulse can use. I'd like to reserve some bandwidth for other programms while downloading via Impulse
does a new version of impulse mean new games? I'm craving for Company of Heroes to come out. my german version makes my ears bleed because of the bad translations and the lack of the wit of the english edition.
I observed that, too, and I'm still playing 1.05. From time to time one or two ships of a fleet want to return to where the fleet came from after a phase jump, but they don't phase jump back but seem to want to go the whole way at cruise speed until I stop them.
wow, I did't do the survey, but I approve every single point of it. now is it good or bad that I am this "mainstream"? :D btt: I appreciate that we as your customers get informed about your status quo and your future plans! SoaSE is my first digitally bought game and I don't regret it at all. (And your support is working on my problem with the retail box, I'm sure they'll solve that one, too)
I configured the resolution via .ini as well, but that can't be the solution. btw: I'm not using the beta, so it's not a new problem but an unsolved one. furthermore every resolution appears twice in my list. PS: no mods installed
Hi, I have the same problem. I just connected my new LG flatron L227WT - it's recognized as that model by windows - but I'm not ably to choose a wide screen resolution. System: AMD X2 5000+ GForce 7600GT with latest driver LG flatron L227WT connected via DVI-D cable + latest driver Windows XP Home
