@Zargon: wow, fast answers from the staff. anyway: I changed my nick to something else, saved and changed it back to Sinon, still, no complaint from the system. And like Hallow Man, I've never seen anybody else with my nick, so make an activity check and release my nick! pronto! just kidding :D

Hi, I just recieved an email from Stardock, telling me that as from now on everybody needs an unique nickname, I had to change my nickname, because it's alredy in use. So chuntering but complying I head to the account management and just out of stubbornness I hit the "update" button without changing anything and all I recieve is a "updates saved". Shouldn't there be an error message telling me, my nick is already in use? And if not, does that mean that I don't have to change my nick because f

well, at least in the predecessor, there were those enemies which were spawning from tombs, dens and caves and those which randomly spawned at the border of the map. so even if you wipe out every spawn place off the map, you only weaken the attacks, but they won't cease. but nevertheless, it makes your life a lot easier, so destroy them all. and as I said before: towers are really worthless in base defense on their own. they are only supposed to keep the mobs busy until your heroes arrive. fu

first try: 45 days, second try: win with relative ease. you just have to destroy the ogre caves as soon as possible. although later on these bearmen are really mean. 3000hp + regeneration, that's not nice. but from day 20 to 75 I only lost some lvl20+ fighters to the vampires (besides, of course, for two dozens of lvl 1 mages -.- weak as ever until they reach higher lvls. I miss the training grounds of Majesty 1 :( ) so my thoughts: 1. I don't know if it's due to my resolution

I for one really like the new design, especially the white background. Looks much "tidier". But I noticed one thing that's broken: The prices are finally displayed in my currency (€), but when a game is discounted, the original price is in €, but the new one in $. One more thing I'd like to see changed: The list/overview of games should be scrollable by mouse, I don't like to have to click buttons to switch to the next page. And at the left side under "Availability" there sh
global dominance here we come again.
wait, not again! the last time an Austian strived for world domination it went terribly wrong and everybody is blaming us Germans :( ^^ but btt: From a German point of view I might add this little story: Some of you Americans complain that you would have to pay everybodys wellbeing with your taxes. Here in Good Old Germany our government passed a law some time ago, which forced every patient to just pay additional 10€ p

I guess the problem is Adblock! the pictures are located in a folder called "ads", no wonder they don't show up (for me neither). but on the other hand, they show up following the direct link, which they shouldn't do, if it really was an Adblock problem. so nevermind, I've just been guessing

of all the mentioned series, Warehouse 13 is the only one I haven't seen. I'm running out of series :( Plus, I liked almost everyone of it, the only exception being BSG which I stopped watching after 5 episodes because I couldn't stand it. My personal list would be Firefly Farscape Star Gate (I might even come to the conclusion that I liked Atlantis more than SG1 (SG:A has Jewel Staites, while SG1 has Morena Baccarin and Lexa Doig...tough decision^^)) Can't wai

John Henry: . . . The human brain is an amazing computer. Its raw clock speed is 20 billion calculations per second. Its storage is functionally infinite. But it's flawed. Ellison: How is that? John Henry: There's nowhere to download it when you die. Ellison: Not exactly, no. John Henry: Your Bible solves this problem by using the concept of heaven. Ellison: Yes John Henry: Billions of souls with no bodies. Ellison (hesitating): Okay. John Henry

@Ellestar: full ack. why go for less? and it's just as probable as mind reading or immortality. plus, omnipotence would directly lead to omniscience, mind control, flying, shape shifting and all the other fun. furthermore I think onmipotence/omniscience wouldn't be abused as much as sole mind control, because you already have all the power there is, so political power or influence in the widest sense wouldn't be very appealing anymore.
I’ve long been an advocate of migrating to a 64-bit OS
Then how about promoting x64 even further by releasing a x64 version of Sins? It could definitively make good use of the extra RAM. On my system (x86 XP), RAM is the bottleneck for Sins. Concerning drivers: I have a dual boot system with x64 Win7 installed and every device works flawlessly, even my Xi-Fi, of which I was expecting the greatest driver nightmares. The only thing not

Sorry for DP, but the last post has been some time ago... So, last day and night (8 hours so far and not half way done) I played with my friend once again and so I just wanted to add some points or stress some still valid nuisances. #1: Now that you can finally queue your starbase improvements while it's still being built, please add the possibility to queue strike craft building as well, when you upgrade your hangars on a starbase #2 I had 4 SBs on a st

Could someone please explain to me, why so many people think Supreme Commander is so great? This is not meant as an offence, I just get the impression I missed some points. I played it a whole while ago (vanilla) and to me it alway was turteling and then being the first to build the really big artillery and the tec 4 (5?) units. All other units were completely pointless and the artillery even made the big ones questionable. In my memory SupCom was a graphic-heavy new edition of Canonhill.

I have no idea what you have done to your XP, but my one never ever takes more than 700MB, even with firefox, winamp etc running, so there's alway enough RAM for Sins left. The limitation derives from the program itself. x64 Windows7, on the other hand, consumes about 1.4GB of RAM, so you ought to have at least 4GB available. What I want to express is: If you stay with x86 WinXP, you don't need more than 4GB RAM (~3,25GB on my machine due to 32bit). In x64 Windows Vista/7 you need at
