That trailer was beyond insane i cant wait to try it out for myself. This is what i call the ultimate mod. XD
strikefreedm
single phase lane that lead to a chain of other planets that took almost 20 minutes to traverse...
oh my that video was awesome! It looks like when Captain Sisko (from Star Trek DS9)was going though the Bajorian Wormhole! Beautiful effects!
Its a really good game though it can be really freaky at times. Nasty things that are invisible that appear right in front of you and try and kill you. =P And the saying "curiosity killed the cat works in the game" more like "curiosity killed the Stalkers" XD Just dont wet your pants and put it down and not play it again for another few months after the first 2 hours of playing.
You build Media Hubs/Communications Platforms.
Nice work on the Pegasus. Though my only concern is that Pegasus is a missile bearing Battlestar not a lazer or munitions Battlestar. I give you a site that might help with your progress: http://www.shipschematics.net/bsg/ http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Category:Colonial_Craft_%28RDM%29 http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Portal:Cylons
Just throwing the idea out there but since I haven't seen it mention how many series of Star Trek will be included? TNG, Voyager, DS9 are all in the same time frame which i see now. Original Series? Enterprise? To add I'm just wonder for the random planets you could have the Zindi races from Enterprise or races from the Delta Quadrant from Voyager. Btw...Enterprise J? as a special class? Nice work so far hope it keeps getting better ^_^
I found the repulsion to be very very very useful especially when you want to retreat a fleet and the enemy is acting like a wall. The problem that you guys see with it is that it expand to the size of 1/4 of a planets gravity well.
I also agree with Retro's way but if you are TEC i rather not have any scouts. This is how i did it. 1) Build 10 Colbat Light Frigs. 2) Build a Cap ship factory as soon as you have enough credits. 3) Get the Capital Ship that can colonize. 4) Research some stuff. 5) Build up your fleet with more frigs if you can. 6) Fight off first pirate raid. 7) Then when their dead go out and fight.
It all depends on the map when it comes to ETA. If you got huge phase lanes...like ones that take 20 minutes...its going to be a long wile for them to get there. But in cases where phase jumps are under 1 minute. Well its going to be a quick hit. Though i find them really useless in large scale maps cause once you get a number of planets you don't remember where they are anymore.
It's five minutes of work for me, so:Affirmative 1Affirmative 2Affirmative 3InquisitiveAggressive.wav format so you should be able to open them with anything. Anyway, I hardly think I can get any stranger than that. Crysis aliens had a stranger-sounding language, but a bit too blaring for my purposes.
Holy...shi- that scared the heck out of me when i listened to it. That is just madness i tell you. Keep it up ^_^ I cant wait to see it come out.
Well if you can establish a base in the planet before the planet you want to strike heres a plan. 1) Have all the tactical slots of the planet be repair stations having their effect area overlap to speed up repair rates. And have many ship factories as logistical slots 2) 2 or 3 (3 recommended big to middle sized fleets. Big: 3-4 Caps 20 skurmishers 15 - 20 Assailants 20 Enforcers Medium: 2 Caps 15 skurmishers 10 - 15 Assailants 1

I followed the instructions on how to install a mod. But i can't seem to find the "Mod Tab" in the options menu. Can someone plz point me in the right direction? Thax
You can make (almost) 7 of these if you put enough effort and time into it. It works the very best in larger maps. I found it to really be effective and can sometimes win battles where your outnumbered 2 - 1. Fleet Roster: 10 Cobalt Light Frigatess 10 Javelis LRM Frigates 10 Hoshiko Robotic Cruisers 10 Kodiak Heavy Cruisers 1 Akkan Battlecruiser + 2 Bomber squad + 1 Fighter Squad (get this as the first Cap) 1 Kol Battleship + Bomber, 1 Figher squad 1 Sova
Thax for the advice ill try that. About the Inhibitors i have one of those on every planet I own but still they dont help much in my case.
Just as a funny note a custom map i made...the phase jump...between two stars take 1 hour eek !
hah dont worry normal maps in the game they take minutes.
also stars can be excellent choke points for defending against invading fleets from another star. I have found this especially in stars that when you are traveling in a gravity well of a star your ships are dead slow because of the gravity (as you mention Agent_Noob_Fury) . And everyone knows now about the anti matter recharge and jumping upgrade so i wont repeat. Just as a funny note a custom map i made...the phase jump...between two stars take 1 hour
I was playing SINS last weekend as Advent. It was a 6 free for all on a 3 star system map. The computer was getting really on my nerves. When i jump one of my fleets over to attack a planet, the enemy planet's defending fleet would jump to the planet i left open with just my defences. Then i would jump back or send another fleet to rescue the planet, then the comptuer jumped to another unoccupied planet. Then i got all the forces cornered in on planet but then i cou
