The new version of OD has the wierd bug that's neeb annoying me for some time too. When I have time, I'll probably roll back to the older version. Anyways, to fix this problem, you should mess around with the "layering" options in the positioning section of the options. For some reason, Always on Bottom is extremely buggy. So, if that's what you're using, you have two options. Either click on the "Use Mouse Activation" checkbox or change the layering to something else. The "Use Mo

ok, before trying the 77.77 drivers, I tried some of the drivers in-between 81.98 and 77.77. All of those worked fine on the system, but the Windowblinds problem was still present. When trying the 77.77 drivers, the system was screwed up. I couldn't display 24-bit color and everything was sluggish.... I'm not even sure if the WB problem was there or not. I do know that the last set of 7x.xx drivers I tried fixed the problem, but screwed up the syst

Hello, I have recently upgraded my CPU to one of the new AMD X2 processors. In doing this, I had to reformat my hard drive, and reinstall Windows and such. I have a copy of Windowblinds 4.6 which I have been using. I might consider purchasing v5 later, but that's a different story. Anyways, after installing Windowblinds I've noticed some small glitches here and there. These problems are hard to describe. I think they're called "artifacts" that ar

I just read the link that Unbeliever posted, and I must admit that it doesn't really help his point at all. I mean, the review of AveDesk was very biased. So, Frogboy stepped in and pointed out some of the incorrect statements in the article, while mentioning various other apps that could do the same thing, if not better (and yes, DesktopX was mentioned, because it fits that category), and he was suddenly flamed by a bunch of people. If nothing, that link makes me feel sorry for Brad. <

Hey, thanks alot for your help. It was funny, even though I know little about programming, I kinda figured out what the problem was before you even said so. Unfortunately, I assumed it had something to with a firewall or something similar, but thanks for your help. Good luck on a modified version of the weather script!

I just reformatted mt harddrive, and tried to reinstall DesktopX. This worked fine, except that every XML weather object refuses to work now for some reason. All I get is an error message saying: Type mismatch: '[string: "-"]' Line: 180 Code: (not available) I'm not good with programming, so I have no idea what this means, or why it's popping up, but I am unable to view the weather. Thanks for your help.

One question about the whole IconX/DesktopX thing. I currently run DesktopX, and I like both it's and IconX's features. So, now I will have to have both programs running at the same time? So, that's another program to slow down startup time, and another program to drain memory? I'm just wondering if there's gonna be a noticeable RAM loss from running both programs at the same time? Or, since the computer needed resources to load IconX in the past (even though it was a part of DesktopX), now

Scatoligist, yes your system would really be run down. For starters, I'm surprised Unreal Tournament would run fine on that at all, and secondly, you said "Windows 98". The new versions of Windowblinds that use little to no system resources are for XP only.

I love Icon Packager, it's a great program. In fact, I love all of Stardock's programs. I have one question though, about Icon Packager. I've noticed that when I apply a theme, it changes the icons well, but there are some icons it won't change. For instance, if I do a "file, open..." and browse my computer, all of my folder icons are those ugly default icons. The other icons are the same, but the folder icons just stand out, and are really annoying. Is there some trick that I've b
