As far as I know you'll eventually be able to do that in the final product. This kind of customization falls under the realm of 'modding'...so yeah, you can do it, but it won't be built into the game...gotta pick our battles, and allowing the addition of LIMBS to customization is a doozy
Heard about a game called Spore? [e digicons]O:)[/e] Nah, just kidding. If I may, I would suggest you at least keep full unit customizat
quoting post Custom units: This disappointed me. I was hoping full customization for all units, but all you can do is give them new weapons and armor. You can't even make female soldiers? Is this something that's gonna change? Don't get me wrong, it's not bad. But after hearing we would have as much unit customization as in GalCiv2 since preview 1, it's a but underwhelming, to say the least. Hm...I don't really understand this.
Thanks, that helps. I know this is just a beta, and as I said, I have pre-ordered the Limited Edition, Collector's Edition or whatever they decide to call it. It should come with a manual that tells me a lot more, and I do hope they include a tutorial in the game. Maybe in the campaign, for instance. Yellow icons for quests? That makes sense, as I found a yellow tent. But why do I have to search for it? We only have small maps now, but imagine if we have a huge map and a quest locatio
Alright, so I finally got this game, loved Master of Magic, loved Master of Orion, loved Galactiv Civilizations 2 bla bla bla, you know the drill. I won't bore you with that, so let's get down to business, shall we? Let's see what works and what doesn't here: Intro: Loved it, although I assume it'sadly s a temporary intro. It took me back to thMS-DOS days with Master of Magic and all that, complete with slowdown. Kids today might hate it, but I loved it. Way to go! Starting th
Impulse? Thanks, I'll give it a try. And just for the record, I did not mean I found it on a piracy site or anything like that. In fact, I played the demo and decided it was so damn good I just as well bougth the game, knowing fully well there isn't any copy protection and thus very simple to get my free copy if I wanted one. Just decided it's worth paying for something like this. :)
Um... it's not? There's nothing there? Edit: Nevermind, I found the patch elsewhere. But thanks anyway. :)
I have a question about the cd-key. I purchased the game online and have played it a while, but I can't seem to find the cd-key anywhere? I need it to be able to download the updates. I did get an e-mail when I bougth the game with my username, password, e-mail and all that, and there was a paragraph (supposedly) telling me my cd-key. Problem is there wasn't one?
I love this game, but the problem is everything I want to look to the left, I end up looking to the right as it feels a lot more natural for me to move the mouse that way. Are there any ways to switch the axis on the mouse like that? It's not that big deal, but it feels a lot more natural and would let me enjoy the game instead of struggle with the camera. :)
Personally, I hate copy protection. Just think about BioShock, for instance. I've been waiting for it ever since I met her in System Shock 2 at last. Finally the day arrived when BioShock hit the stores, and I went happily home and installed it. Problem is it required a patch to finish the installation for some reason, and as I wasn't currenlty online, the game uninstalled itself. Big deal, I though. I went online, reinstalled it and finally got to play it. (and hated it, but that's not t
