If using a physical firewall/behind a router make sure you turn off random port selection and select a single port. Then take that port number and make sure you have it set on your router to forward it to your machine. If using nothing but a software firewall, just make sure it is setup to work with demigod. You should be good to go at that point.

My game just crashed now as well. Someone left and AI took over, and not immediatly, but about 10 minutes later the game crashed. So who knows, might be AI or not. Either way, i'm pissed. Wasn't having these crashing problems before this patch.

I completely agree with the OP. I would have much rather seen an expansion that maybe introduced ship customization akin to galciv2. By doing this, it would make for more interesting matches as the enemy would be harder pressed to figure out what your ships are capable of. I doubt i'll be buying this expansion, as it seems it will expand the time of games by at least two fold. A larger tech/unit tree, ship customization, and more planet types / Bonus's is what I want. As

Space combat will be very similar to the naval combat seen in WW1. As stated, fighters/missles will be useless - as by then technology which can easily blow that stuff out of the sky will exsist. It will really come down to who can produce the most, the largest, and longest-firing ships.
