im no computer noob, lol i keep my system running in tip top shape i use numerous applications to protect against viuses spyware and other such things. i also disable every unecesary service on my machine to wich anything i use doesnt need. anyway this has become a very messy thread

Jafo, mine does that asell but if the start panel is displayed or an open folder the cpu goes up and this is on a fresh install of xp sp1 all updates and wb 4.3 final

That there is exactly my point, WNFX has not only shadow support defined by WB skins but other features seem to be more attuned to what a WB skin is doing. now that i think about it, it seems a few of you took this the worng way, thats fine its made me realize that even if this were to happen i guess some of you are not ready. as both WINFX and WB are even more developed to be less and less resource happy i will bring this up again maybe when Longhorn is RTM lol then maybe the

Thas why my idea to keep the executable files seperate not entirely coded together except for control, like say if the FX part failed it would shutdown and leave WB stable and intact. now i know thats basicly how it is now, but the things is if everyone that had WB also had the options and features of FX by default i think the possibilty of newer and newr content for it being created to be alot better than it is now. i mean im bored with the stuff that is on Wincust for it lol.

lol this is jsut a discussion about an idea, maybe if i was a stardock programmer i would understand your last statement. Kona, why exactly do you thinks its a bad idea? China, I to think it could be easily done, and its not like the options/features of WindowFX need be on by default if the code was merged into Windowblinds. It would just be another section in the WB configuration utility, they could if necessary still create an individual exe and extensions but it aou

Ive noticed that WindowFX while an amazing app doesnt get the attention it deserves. there isnt that much content for it even tho its been around forever. it has options to use shadows defined by wb skins but are there even any that use that? i personally think if the code was merged into WB it would survive much better and possibly the functions and features it has to offer could be ebtter put to use. comments and discussion would great but please no flamming

i think that sdmcp.exe's used resources should be added yo wbload.exe's because if no stardock app is installed sdmcp.exe is not there and not running lol and it runs no matter if a WB skin is loaded or not, dont get me worng i love WB and will die to uphold its reputation but be a little more honest. on my system Wbload.exe runs at 620k - 1000k if you add sdmcp.exe's resources of 2,200k - 3,900k you get a maximum combined resource useage of 2,800k - 5,000k <A HREF="

why are all the newer apps from stardock only downlaodable on download.com? and if this is a week old then download.com needs to really update thier pages because it shows it as v1.01 and the files are all named bootskin_free but should include the version number so people dont wast thier time downlaoding

I would like all to know that i did not intend on complaining about the price, didnt think i even mentioned it, i would have gladly paid 20 dollars for the complete set had i not already boughten the original skinpack but since ive paid the 5 bucks for it and if i want to extras from stardock for ALL four suites total i would have paid is $25. not the 20 dollars it costs for all four now. but aside from that, the complaint im making is that no offer was made (by stardock appare

I bought the 4 pack THE DAY BEFORE they switched it to seperate suites. i e-mailed them hoping for some clarifiction on wether i (and other skinpack customers) would be getting the opertunity to buy just the icons and walls and any oither suite specific additions that come in the future for a smaller combined fee so we dont have to rebuy what we already have. sadly i did not get a responce

I have a suggestion for the preview feature. i noticed that when my screen switched to 640x480 my monitor made this screaming load screech. wich it doesnt do at bootup under the same resolution. i think its because of how highend graphics cards, Large view (18-25 inch)CRT Monitors and thier manfacturer suggested drivers operate under fully loaded windows control they dont like the unltra small resolutions. would it be possible to have the preview viewed in a 640x480 GDI window
