I dunno, I encountered the Lich quest that spawns from the Plague event for the first time yesterday and it seemed, thematically, like a pretty good fit. The event itself presents three difficult choices, each with a cost, and the one I took lead to an unexpected and unfortunate consequence. The fact that I was playing as Ceresa added to the irony too. True, the undead are a stock fantasy race, but I think they're a good fit with what I see as two central themes of Elemental lore:
MisterAedan
Have seen him in a 0.75 game. But he now asks 'what's in my pocket?', which I thought was rather unfair. At least the quest reward was good. ... Part of the above isn't true. But I did see him, and found him in a hut as @roy berube above says.
Huh. Damn, thought that might help. Maybe it is bugged now...
If you're looking at heroes, can you pay special attention to the Trogg hero As a'Zoth if you haven't already reworked him? He turned up in my game with the weak trait + a chain shirt + twin battleaxes and was so ridiculously encumbered that he could barely move until I stole his gear and left him with lighter stuff more suited to a caster (albeit one with Path of the Warrior). I guess this is from when PotW had an innate weight bonus and didn't place so much rest
I think you have to un equip it for the game to recognise you have completed the quest, if memory serves. It's kind of counterintuitive but I think that's how it worked out. I think any champion can complete it, not just the sovereign.
So... champion death seems to be in the game now - at least in the LH Beta. Was this in a changelog that I missed? It was a nasty surprise! I was so shocked that I flicked through to see what it meant without taking a screenshot, and *poof* - he had vanished to the land of wind and ghosts, along with all the gear he was carrying. Under injuries, it listed "killed" as if he was troops rather than a champion. I refought the battle a few times, and each time he took an injury as normal,
I'm using upgrades a lot in my current game for the increased zone of control - as a way of joining up my territory without using too many pioneers. I haven't used many other upgrades yet, but I'm sure I will make use of the increased movement & pop growth as it goes on.
And dual great axes...that's just a trait of major badassitude! Love it
Just started a Yithril game for exactly that reason. Verga dual-wields right from the start too. EDIT: ...and right by my base, I found dual burning axes. Verga is officially the most metal sovereign ever.
Just played my first half hour of the beta, very good so far - no crashes, only one minor bug in which the view didn't move to units selected in the sidebar (fixed itself, couldn't replicate). Preview of movement paths is very welcome, I missed that in the changelog, but it's very handy. Tactical battles much more fun - particularly when Bannon Heighsley and his Command ability joined my party. Along with Relias' Rush & Haste, everyone was all over the plac
Well, of course you can't go back to the game - you just won an Ascenscion Victory and transcended the mortal plane. [e digicons][/e] But yes, that probably wants fixing just in case you want to continue to meddle in the affairs of lower beings without starting a new game.
Conquering cities now means fighting it out in the streets
Yes! This, and some of today's changelog stuff, has me sold.
Summon Delin. Yeah, I could go for that. Loving all the new faction abilities too - Urxen and Trogg ones in particular look just right.
Great news! Very much looking forward to it.
Now this is the kind of thing I like to read about.
Came for the lurid headline, stayed for the industry insight. And the game looks kinda cool too, will see if I can chip in a few bucks.
Hi Gaunathor, I just spotted this thread after a long break from GalCiv. This looks like a great mod and I'm hoping to take it for a spin soon, once I get my current pile of work sorted out. When I do, will provide any feedback I can. Really pleased to see this mod, and that the GalCiv modding community is still active.

Buying it directly will still give you FE:LH on steam. FE:LH is a standalone expansion, so it doesn't need to be in the same place FE is to work. This makes me a very happy camper!
Likewise, I was briefly concerned that I would have to pay full price again on Steam. Which would be an

The more traits as Administrator (I,II,III...) the more effective. Who has a champ with POTG? Well, you will have from now if you pretend to be a conqueror If you play altar, is easy to use one or two of your henchmen to become that.
Yeah, Altar are good at this. I designed a custom henchman called the Mayor whose main
Yeah, have fought him too.
I always assumed that this was working as intended, you also see it with the champion Daxus and his amazing Berserker's Axe. You don't get another attempt at maul afterwards, as Heavenfalls says, it comes at the end, after missing, whether the swing is from the first attack of from maul.
Yeah, didn't know it worked on Syndicate, never seemed to work on Bandits, so I'm not sure what the distinction is there. Generally, it's just basic units as Xia says, not fancy ones like Juggs and Golems. During Beta it worked on "wild" Knights of Asok and that became my favourite trick for a while, but they seem to be a lot less common these days, have only encountered one Asok camp since release and wasn't playing as a Diplomat at the time. It's most use
I could have used this in my current game... swamps everywhere .
I've used this in a couple of games now and have trained fire, ice and earth summoners depending on which books showed up. So far everything has worked smoothly for me; I haven't yet seen the AI use them unfortunately so I don't know if they will use the summon spells. AI players seem willing to use most abilities, but I haven't yet seen them use any of the vanilla tactical summons, either from spells or abilities like Call Uteran. So far, what has worked best for me i
I must say the AI surprised me in my last game. I had a horrible start but was making a comeback. I had all but defeated one faction that had declared war on me, and I was starting to feel confident. However, a second faction hit me where it hurt with a big stack and followed up with its Sovereign’s killer stack. Faction 2’s troops were better than mine, and its offensive was effective. I don’t doubt one of our reside
I'm letting Karavox level her up for a bit before fighting him, to see how it goes - but it's a small map and he insists on sending her around in a pack of four heroes so I'm not sure how much XP she's actually getting. Great mod, really glad to see more interesting ways of acquiring heroes. [e digicons]k1[/e]
They're working! Karavox grabbed Mouse from right under my nose.
