I'm currently into retro gaming and had the urge to play the 1.0 version of Galactic Civilizations. I got my Windows XP machine out of the closet (I did not and will not connect it to the Internet) and found my GC2 Collectors Edition which I bought brand new at launch. The jewel case inside the box was never opened since I just registered the serial numbers for the base game and the collectors edition content on Stardock's TotalGaming.net platform before it became Impulse. Back then, I wasn't
I should have been clearer on my original post. I apologize. I already purchased the expansion bundle prior to my original post through the GCII site. I was suggesting to Stardock that they update the item lists on totalgaming.net and store.stardock.com to include the bundle. I now know it is moot to update the totalgaming.net item list because of Impulse. But what about store.stardock.com? Is that going to be replaced by Impulse, too? If it is then this whole thread is
I might be going blind, but I don't see it here: https://store.stardock.com/browse/strategy
I apologize if I should have contacted the sales department instead of posting this issue here. On Galactic Civilizations II's purchase page and Impulse, the GCII: Expansion Bundle is available for purchase. But on TG.net and the Stardock Store's games list, it is not. I was able to purchase the item through GCII's purchase page which connected me directly to the Stardock Store. Is the Expansion Bundle not listed because of your transition to Impulse?
Here's a recommendation for a game I feel is slowly slipping from the Internet's consciousness. King of Dragon Pass doesn't have any flashly 3D graphics or 2D graphics for that matter. It's a RPG/Strategy game that was made a long time ago (by tech. standards), but I feel that it is still relevant. I ask, nay implore, Stardock to contact the game's creator, A-Sharp, and try to get this game on your catalogue.
Thanks for the update Yarlen! I'll check out Avencast. Has Sierra signed an exclusive contract with anyone? I think F.E.A.R. and any sequels would be good to see here. Sierra's World in Conflict would be a good addition, too. Some older titles from their library like Starsiege: Tribes 2, Ground Control II: Operation Exodus, and Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura are also winners (the last 2
Has any one played this game? What do people think about it?
To shiva7663: Check Wikipedia.org and game review sites regarding the games I mentioned. From my observations, TGN distributes games from small and/or new developers from around the world. I like that. In my list above, I tried to mention games that match what I see in TGN's store. I know alot of the games I listed are older titles, but most people have never heard of them, and I feel they deserve a second chance. I saw that TGN has Moonpod's Mr. Robot. I hope they sell Moonpod
When I start GalCiv II using GC2Launch.exe (which Stardock Central and the GalCiv II start menu shortcut points to), I get this error: "Error running GalCiv II: Object doesn't support this property or method Please ensure the game Is installed correctly. If so, try running it from the start menu." The error box is titled VBScript. If I don't click OK or when I do, the game automatically starts and runs fine. Should I start GalCiv II using GalCiv2.
To Megajames75: I think most of them could be distributable in TGN. Heroes of Might & Magic I and II and Might & Magic I and II are available via TryGames, and those games were made in the mid-1990's. So, what's to stop TGN from selling them here (besides possible low demand)? I guess one problem might be making those games playable under Windows 2000 - Vista. Ubisoft owns the rights to those games, and they are listed as a TGN partner. But the point of this thread is to tell T
I started this thread in another section of the forum but got only one response >, so I'm posting it again here just in case people didn't see it before. > I'd like to start a thread with games people think TotalGaming.net might want to add to their store. (I
I'd like to start a thread with games people think TotalGaming.net might want to add to their store. (I apologize in advance if this has been done already.)
