I am getting the same issue. I have a dual-boot config with XP and Vista, and when I boot to Vista and run StyleVistaUI.exe, it comes up with the DWM error. The only thing I can think of is that I don't have the amount of ran that will allow for the 'Aero Glass' effect, and that is what StyleVista skins and changes.......... Of course, I don't really know, but..... makes sense, huh?

If it was basic WinXP with a different color, Mr Benn is right. It's an option in Display Properties/Appearance. That was what I was using before taking the plunge into WindowBlinds and all that other great skinning stuff.
