No scroll bar, but I think I have seen few event messages that had a scroll bar, not 100% sure though (I play only occasionally).

Got "A Strange Blight" random event and it's description is cut short. GalCiv2 Ultimate Edition v. 2.03 Playing with laptop which has a 1280x800 screen.

Ultimate Edition comes in DVD and DVD drive is listed on the system requirements + in the front cover. Edit: Oops, put the wrong cover in there by mistake. Shouldn't matter though as it's pretty much is the same in the UE.

Finally, great thing that it was released. Bought the game before xmas and so far I have only read the manual and watched the tutorials :D Time to try it. BTW, http://www.kalypsomedia.com/en/games/index.shtml Click on Ultimate Edition and you get 404 page. I sent them an email about it, but I guess they ignored it. That pretty much sums up what Kalypso cares about the game (or customers).
