well, that fleet was unstoppable it seems. now i am the vasari in the newest incarnation of the beta. i really like what they have done with the tec ships, the vasari ships seem kinda bloated and rather identical in firepower to the tec. im still trying to find the time for a short multi game. keep up the good work on this very informative thread.

well, i think ive put together a pretty hardy fleet...3-kol, 1-marza, 1 dunov and im moving an akkan into it soon,to replace the coloney frigs, theyre like fish in a barrel. also, 3 supporting kodiaks and assorted frigs and cruisers. ive also used some of all your strategies to beef up my planet defenses. the repair station/gause cannon combo seems to be enough to ward off most enemies, at least the ai. i have yet to play another human player, i usually only have a couple hours a day to pla

i really havnt yet seriously considered the sova. i like your tips regarding it, however that is one weak ship. i took one out in seconds with one kol and one marza plus support frigs. perhaps it wasnt upgraded as much as my ships because the enemy fleet also had a kol that was rather easly taken out. i did use a familiar strategy in that i concentrated my fleet on first taking out the kol, then focused on the sova. i picked off the rest of the fleet that couldnt jump in time. maybe that wou

i actually mistakenly queued up a dunov in my first practice game and used it along with an akkan and a small group of frigs rather effectively. i wasnt sure what it was doing at the time, but it seemed that the other ships were rarely destroyed. all things considered though, wouldnt it just make more financial sense to invest into a "wolf pack" of kols rather than spend the same amount on support vessels that can be compensated with repair stations and the like? i do like the akkan and

ive been looking everywhere for a manual, its great to finally find one. i hope that you will be updating it regularly. one of my biggest questions was how to best utilize the dunov. your description has motivated me not to use them at all. instead i put together a fleet of 2 kols and a marza, with supporting frigs. i bought the marza before i read this thread or i would have gotten another kol instead. i just assumed the marza was a superior ship because it just looks so tough. the kol seems to
