Alright I started a new game after I updated. It was on a random-huge map with 4 A.I. players and myself. I chose a small number a players because I wanted them to be spread out and have a better start for everyone, so they don't have to compete with other players. When I got into the game I started exploring, and to my overwhelming anger found that all 4 other players were in the same system as myself. So I'm proposing something be done about this. I'd like to see a system where I can

I agree, and I would also like to see some better formation flying from fighters right up to capital ships. What I mean to say is I don't want my faster ships speeding right ahead of my fleet and getting torn to pieces because they have light armour. I also would like to see ships hold the formations while turning and accelerating.
I think its a great idea, but game mechanics would be messed. The ships dont move fast enough for this to be plausable or at all "cool" looking. Therefore we either have the slingshot and increase ship speed, or do without the slingshot.
LOL DroneFragger. I agree, and no offence to the officials, but I think you guys are making some stuff out to be WAY more than it is. Fraser your comment on Sept. 30, I understand this, I'm not 6 years old ok I understand. My point is If you draw a line between ships A and C and then place ship B on that line, ship A will fire at C, and the rounds will pass right through ship B and hit C. I hope that isn't too confusing. What I'm trying to say is that its possible and the A.I. will do it. Also i
Too powerful, lol no such thing. I agree that there should be build options around stars. The current A.I. seems to try and bypass my fleets sometimes and I'd just like a way of preventing them from entering my system via the star. Perhaps phase disruptors, just anything that will prevent an enemy incursion into my space. It's just kind of annoying and ridiculous to see an enemy fleet try and break through yours and then have to chase them.
The only reason I bashed the wall formation is because it is so easy to hit. In a game like SW:EaW every shot fired by a ship is exactly that a shot. If it misses its target it continues and may hit another target. No such thing is sins. Even if the shots you see fired miss the target it still reads as a hit to the computer. Also the shot can only damage the ship it is intended to hit, except for splash damage attacks. So my fleet can fire right through an enemy formation and attack support ship
Ok so I just have to say that somehow and I can't explain, this is the most addictive game I have ever played. The scale and the seemless zoom is incredible. I just all-around like the game except for some little problems. The ships, oh the ships so many and so worthless. I have to say I was more than a little disappointed with the fleets and combat. Ships are too weak and too easy to build. A single ship should have much more strategic value than it does presently. I was hoping for a m
I find the A.I. entirly useless. Not to say I want to have to command all my fighters manually, that would just take away from the time and tactics I can spend on the more important ships. I find that the A.I. is not smart enough to take a planet much less a star system. Their main tactic is to enter my grav. well and scatter, attacking different targets without much of an objective. I just think the A.I. has a long way to go before the game really becomes a challenge.
