Crash on New Game in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I don't know what the problem is. I have checked the forums, and I see people posting error messages left and right but I can't seem to find a file called debug.err anywhere in my directory. The problem is this, every time I launch the game every thing goes fine. I can get through picking a race and setting up a map. As soon as I click next on the final screen I get an empty box in the middle of the screen and the word "loading" across the bottom.&nbsp
