Hey, thanks. I checked the nvidia site and there is a 6/07 update to my driver. My fault for relying on Vista. I found a little dealie that offered to check for updates to all my drivers, and Vista said there was nothing new. As soon as I get home to try the new driver out, I'll be naming the next class 3 planet Microsoft, trading it to the Yor, and then using tidal disruptors on it.

Help! My game keeps freezing - the screen goes black (in both full screen and windows mode) after I click the turn button. The music keeps playing and the Windows Task Manager says it is not "not responding". I have Vista premium (dell, dual core, nvidia card). The Vista help guided me through checking all the drivers, and it says that they are all up to date. I've run stardock and uploaded the most recent versions I see. Gravity effects to travel. If I order a ship from point A to point B, it should take the fastest route it knows (straight line if unexplored). But the fastest route should take advantage of sling-shoting off stars, planets, and starbases. That could be visually pleasing. Starbases should have some effect on the speed of travel to/from and near it. When you conquer a world, you should always get a moral choice (new management versus old management). More moral choice

Hi, Is there a way to play the game in a window, versus full screen? I'll like to be able to switch back and forth to other programs while playing. Running vista dual core. No major problems (well, sound quality is poor and the game freezes ocassionally).

Hi All, Just loaded Galactic Civilizations II Gold onto a Dell with dual core and vista. The sound is horrible - the voices have crackling in the background, as if the game thinks I have more than 2 speakers. Is there an option in the game to fix it, besides turning off the sound? Or is there an easy way to change my computer's settings? Thanks!
