I tried to remap them, but it didn't recognize the buttons when I hit them. Seems to only work for keyboard so far.

Using my 360 pad, the L/R buttons do the opposite of what it says on the screen.

I totally agree the gameplay is too fast. Bring it down 25% or so, or add brackets/game modes with different speeds.
