I like the idea a lot. Only 1 per player at a time. Having a flagship/mothership in a system could also provide a passive combat bonus for all the user's ships (eg increased damage/hull or shield strength/weapon cooldown due to increased morale) and if it gets destroyed by an enemy then there could be a system-wide or even game-wide loss of combat ability/resource gathering, etc due to decreased morale. Of course they should be very expensive and take a while to build.

I was going to post that I'm a young man and I think the Advent's voices are good. I agree that, given their background/lore, the feminine/softer voices are the way to go. This, then, would obviously elevate me to some level above the immature young men out there. Then I realized that, at 1 month from being 30 years old, I'm not actually a young man anymore. Crap...

Hey, guys (and maybe some gals). I've been trying to get a problem taken care of for about a week now but I haven't received any autoreplies from the two emails I've previously sent. I just sent a third one now but thought I'd try my luck on the forums. Basically I have downloaded my GalCiv2 copy from SDC that I bought retail last year some time. It was initially installed on another computer. When I tried to launch it on my new laptop I received the following error message: "The p
I understand what your going through. Playing sins and CoD4 while huffing oreos has become a bit of a challenge now.
Duuude, I've been fighting my Oreo urge for months now. I can't handle the temptation while perusing the forums, it's one of the few vices I'm allowed!!
Hehe nice post. It's worth mentioning though, Sins has probably the best homegrown AI of any RTS I have ever played. Can't think of any RTS where I felt the AI put up a challenge like this without cheating.
Yeah that's the best part. I'm only putting the AI on "Hard" so far but I really like the way it plays; it actually seems intuitive most of the time, whether it's an enemy or ally. I like it a lot. Great job devs!!
At this rate all Stardock would need to do is get digital distribution rights to Relic's and Blizzard's games to become the de facto strategy game publisher on the market.
Regarding cornering the RTS market with Impulse, I read in an article yesterday that that's exactly what they're trying to do, at least early on. Sorry don't remember the link.
Who knows? But odds are... yes, thats the announcement. Well, impulse is anyway.
Yeah I figured Impulse was a good bet to be at least part of the announcement yesterday and downloaded the beta to check it out. I was hoping maybe a crazy amount of new playable factions for Sins...let that be a lesson: aim high and get ready for disappointment X-( :SNIFF!:
Just go back to the last page and follow the links people posted to the Wired blogs and a few others In short, Stardock is publishing GPG's Demigod and will be making it available on Impulse, and there will also be a summer beta program for the game for Impulse users
Oh. so we're sure that's the announcement, huh. Missed that part... Thanks
