One word: streamline. Everything aspect of the game should be there to benefit playability and player experience. If it doesn't, it goes. First, I'd streamline the interface. Everything should be accessible from the main map screen. CONTEXT MENUS! Get rid of all the fake metal borders. Waste of space. Make it look like a transparent HUD on my Imperial Command ship. Or some other nice design conceit. Ditch the whole push F4 for this screen and F5 for that. It's jar

I haven't played GC in awhile, and I'm trying to remember how the mechanics go. I'm going to start with morale, though these observations hold for the economy as well. I'll work on production once I have a happy, wealthy population. This experience is from a GC2:DA test game. Small map, just me and the Altarians. So, I let my homeworld pop get to 12B.
