Hello, I'm fairly new to the boards here so I hope I'm not about to repeat a suggestion someone has already made. It's not quite the same as multi-player but it's still fun. Get a group of people and agree on all game settings and have one person start the game. At a pre-arranged time, say the turn after the yearly UP vote, save the game and send it off to the next player.
