Please strenghten StarBases in Beta Reports GalCiv2 Forums

A fully defended starbase is far too easily knocked out by a single ship - hardly damaging a powerful ship - even with all its super weapons modules - what gives? It doesn't make sense that a starbase doesn't fire unless fired upon first, they should be able to fire first.

Espionage serves another purpose, while spying on your foes it disables the buildings you put them in. Excellent for cold war tactics, breaking their economy and planet morale.

Those who don't like trading don't understand the purpose of trading. It is not all about profits as much as it is, diplomacy with other races. A race you trade with will be slower to declare war on you, and if you have quite a bit of trade with the most powerful threat, he'll wage war on everyone but you, while you build up to crush him like the bug he is. Incite others to war with someone who is threatning you and you will see the threat warm up to you because they can't afford a war on too

but it gives you all the starbase radii. What is needed is a shift-click to show all related starbases i.e. ECONOMY, MILITARY & INFLUENCE separately. Similar to a city builder showing all the hospital radii by double clicking on one hospital so you don't overly overlap the coverage.

There needs to be a way to display ALL the starbase radii for each starbase category in order to be able to place them more effectively. Maybe a shift-click on the starbase would reveal all the coverages of that type of starbase.
