Quoting Frogboy, reply 47 for a budget of 5 million dollars you really are effective thats why i love stardock. $5 million? I would love to have that kind of money to do a game. Elemental's budget is about half that and that includes the cost of developing its custom 3D engine. Bah, if I would have $5 million, I wouldn't work for sure. Either way, that is pretty impressive. [..on a relat

try using CCleaner to clean up the registry errors along with running spyware and antivirus on safemode, if that doesnt do it reformat and save yourself the trouble.
when it comes to balancing i think certain spells are op. For instance i cast a firestorm and 1shot 10 soilders X). That could be because basic units are given too little hp. To fix this adding leveling to trained units could do the trick. Just like leveling your heroes but you cannot change the stats of the trained units. Basically leveling the trained units would add hp and attack strength. defense would be based off gear.

agreed, its unusual for someone to say a beta is actually fun (since all the crashing issues that usually occur) but the fact is, this game is awesome and i know we haven't even come close to the full potential of this game yet so i will be excited for the weeks to come with beta updates.
i have no problem with epic creatures being titan sized but when it interferes with selecting other units or seeing my surroundings, it then becomes a problem
if you are doing a quest to get an item from a ruins location and you are thrown into a tactical battle, you can simply retreat from the battle and still get the quest reward. Seems like a glitch.
I just played a round and received a dragon doing a level 4 quest (that in itself seems alittle overboard) but what really bugged me was the size of this thing on the map. ya its supposed to be an epic creature but its bigger than my town lol.
.9 seems very unstable. Bad memory leaks. More than half the time when I'm trying to load a save game, it will not load.
ya i have the same problem playing prolonged games where i basically run out of memory
SOMEBODY HELP ME I WANT TO PLAY ONLINE!!!!!!
i would say the best bet is to base it off the first cylon war. in that case both sides were equal (i think) and it was a stalemate
is there any way to add more ports to make the game more accessable???
i cant play on my campus for some reason :( probably because both ports used are blocked (even though i checked the penn state it website and port 6000 and 6112 are not blocked)
nope and i know its not norton because i have the same version on my laptop when i go home and multiplayer works fine at home, just not on campus.
its basic norton antivirus with no firewalls in it ill try and run the game with it disabled (deactivating service)
ok my firewall isnt a problem because i have it disabled when i try logging on and it is set to have sins allowed anyways and windows firewall is the only one i have. university only tells me they block explicit or undefined ports. tech fax only tells me to check my firewall. i cant port forward because i dont know what router i have since im connecto to a wall jack. university wont tell me since it would violate university policy.
lol this game has possibly the worst multiplayer setup in existance
Sup guys, i just noticed something when i created a custom map. I mad a 10 solar system map with 30-45 random objects in each, 6-8 colonizable planets in each, and 1-2 pirate bases in each. Now when each system is set up there is always 1 planet and 1 asteroid section that connects the homeworld to the rest of the solar system. when i played the map i found that 4-10 systems had a (in order going towards star) asteroid, homeworld, colonizable planet, PIRATE BASE!!! now with that in place it makes
weird, i play supreme commander, BFME2, Civilization 4, and many other rts online and NONE have i ever had a problem online with.
although its a nice idea, i just wont be able to get enough people in my network to ever play a game hahaha. it looks like im venting but im just faking it. i work at a it helpdesk and i know how painful computer/network issues are.
i dont want to use hamachi, i dont want to port scan and get my A@@ banned from my school's network, I Just Want To Play Multiplayer, it worked fine in beta and now it doesnt so what is different about the multiplayer setup.
Windows vista Asus k8-n motherboard 2 2.2ghz single core processors 8800gtx 4 gigs of ram a sound card 500 gig hard drive
well then why cant i play, i have my firewall turned off and i keep getting "Disconnected from ironclad" BOOO
I had really high hopes for this game, I still think its very well done. Unfortunately, the multiplayer support is abysmal. I've been unable to join or host any game and I've stared at my router settings longer than I would normally consider healthy. I'm spent.
DidDO, this is the ONLY GAME i have ever played on my campus where i cant play multiplayer, i dont have access to the campuss access ports because......... im a student which means i cant do jack and they wont lis
