I don't use a mouse. There, I said it. I use a trackball instead and it is just a personal preference thing. Anyway, I would really like to use the rotate map feature but it is tied into the scroll-wheel and I don't have one. Is there any way to tie the scroll- wheel functions into a keyboard shortcut and if not can that be added. I mean I can't be the only trackball user out there, right...hello, anyone...
Completed a quest and gained a red dragon as an ally. Awesome. Went into a tactical battle and he was huge and awesome and well just a bit to big. Couldn't see any of my other units since he was so big and hard to see through. So I recommend making really large creatures smaller. Huge creatures in a tactical battle, although visually stunning, are not easy to manage on a practical level. Second, I don't like the huge giant squares used on the tactical map.
With the inclusion of immense sized maps I noticed an issue with the mini-map. It seems that there are a default number of times you can zoom in on the mini-map. The bigger the map the less you can zoom in. On the immense sized maps even at full zoom you can barely see the individual planets and ships. This makes it a challenge to sort out where you are and where you want to send your colony ships etc... - It would be great if you could zoom in closer on the bigger sized maps.
Yep, as far as I can tell, the ability makes absolutly no difference. Then again, maybe it does and I just can't see it...
The Korx have this new ability you can research right at the start of the game called Cutthroat Competition. The description says that it lowers your interest rates, however the tag on the ability itself says - interest rates +25% - which would seem to be backwards. In addition, the ability does not appear to be working since any ships I purchase before the ability is researched have the same lease payments and interest rates as any ships purchased after the ability is researched.
