I would certainly never upload or otherwise share someone's skin that I have altered. This is just for my own preference, to use on my machine. I have attempted to make changes in SkinStudio (see my original post). I'm still learning how to navigate my way around it. I've only opened once or twice before and it can look pretty daunting (sp?) at first. but I am catching on little by little.

To maybe explain a little better...I'd like to change the text in the PANE and in the TITLE. The text in the OTHER PLACES and FILE AND FOLDER TASKS has a visible text. The Starlight skin has a nice RED text in the TITLE of details pane...as shown in the screenshot, but the text in the pane below the is black. The skin that I have loaded as I write this is WaterWorks by criss14, and it has the title and the pane text black. The screen shot is actually another screenshot loaded into P

OK...I've got a screen shot that kind of hi-lites what I'm looking for. Hello all... I have tried several times to use Skinstudio to make some personal changes in some skins. The latest thing I'm trying to personalize is some of text colors. Some of the darker skins have sections where the text is black and extremely hard to see. OK...I'm confused. What is the deal with the MCP and why is it so hard to get a fix? I emailed Stardock support about this problem 11/7/03. They responded asking me to send them some info about my system. I sent in a detailed snapshot of my system taken with SANDRA.
