Yep I can attest to that too, I've had allies lose all their planets before but as long as you have a unit that can colonize things you stay in the game.I'm not sure what you mean. The ships don't disappear, but if you destroy all the AI's colonies you'll get the defeated message and its portrait will change to broken glass and at that point nothing that was left over will do anything. If he had a fleet flying around you can engage it and the basic combat ship AI will still get them to s

I've found that a good story line can make up for poor gameplay. Final Fantasy 12 was a good example of this, although there were many bugs that were serious enough to cause me to lose a battle, the story kept me playing through till the end. However, I have also found that good gamplay can make up for poor or non-existant storyline. Battlefield 2142 has very little storyline, but-the gameplay is such that I still played it alot, till the game got repetitive. I think IC has [

I was able to get it to work once when it was orbiting a sun, the sun would regenerate more am than the scout would use up, I figured now I can see when an invasion happens, the problem is that the cloaking slowed the game down to being nearly unplayable, the only ability or effect to do that. But I did get it to be permanant, don't remember how though.

For both questions: The missile "hits" the target shortly after it is fired, so even if the missile is still flying around, the damage has been done, it automatically "snaps" to a dead-on, it's because the missile has been flying around for too long and the game does this to save processing power i assume. When it follows the ships through phase space, I know not whether it ever actually hits the target or if it disappears after a while, but either way, the damage has been done anyway.
As Astax said.. You newbies just aren't getting it. I hope to god IC isn't just cattering this game to people who don't know how to play and can't use google-calculator. -_- No offense and all, your arguements would be fine if you actually made valid points, but you're not. This IS an issue. The market place changes are NOT going to resolve it. The Marketplace fluxtuations and boom/crash is for other reasons, not this.No they should add 200 crystal and REMOVE 700 credits. Then people

So I was reading the features section of the sins site and I noticed this:
Explore the Epic Scale of a Dynamic Galaxy Explore and conquer neighboring planets and distant solar systems in a massively scaled, fully 3D galaxy featuring planets, clusters of asteroids, rare comets and radiant stars.
(quote is broken, it should have ended after the last paragraph) <

There used to be a research station counter in the research window during the beta (don't remember which beta it was started in), but I can't find it since the game was released. Maybe they forgot to add it into the research screen.

The thing about the sky boxes that bothers me is that they skybox can have a bright light, but the side of a planet that is facing that bright light is dark because it is facing away from the sun, hence why I like the dark backdrops. I don't have a problem if you want to say that system is close to a nebula or something, but it would be nice if the light from that nebula would actually illuminate a bit. But they are nice, green is my least favorite.
If you would take the time to actually read what he said instead of insulting everyone who thinks different then you, you would find he mentioned the word "random," meaning not a certain time limit. I actually think that would be a good idea, however, having not played multiplayer, and not even knowing this is what goes on in multiplayer games, my word won't carry much weight in this argument.I read it, I didn't think he was silly enough to actually mean random, he said a few minutes Nev

You could disable the black market for a random period in the first few minutes of the game. That way it would be unpredictable, and harder for people to be sitting there waiting for the crystal market to open up. While that wouldn't negate the effect of the initial crystal purchase, it may discourage people from trying early in the game because of the hassle.
Okay instead make it so people sit there looking at the game timer to reach a certain time and all rush to hit ct
And as to why I'm posting so much tonight, well it's because 1.03 is almost done and I'm just watching the AIs battle it out.
OOOoooo, is this a new feature in 1.03? Or just something that you devs get to do?

My faith in IC/SD has been restored, sorta, I'm still a little sore over a few other things not involving game problems though. But, for the most part, I'm hopeful once more.
There may be a lot going on in your empire, but there is plenty of warning for key events. Vocal alerts and large event buttons warn you when your empire may be in trouble or experiences an important milestone. At the top of the screen, a large flashing research, diplomacy, or pirate button will let you know if your research is complete, if a player wants to engage in diplomatic relations, or if bounty is placed on your head! Portraits of other players will also flash on your s
