Well it looks like 174.93 fixed the problem! I think it may have been the effect of Targeting Uplink coming from one of my Akkan battle cruisers. It makes little cross-hair symbols fly around units and buildings that are affected and I remember seeing them whenever there was a problem. It could have been those, but I'm not sure. It doesn't matter anymore anyways. Thanks Multianna for getting me to check guru3d this morning! :D

I don't believe the 520W is the problem, these Corsairs are built like beasts and can handle up to and including the rated 520W with 52 amps (double what Nvidia recommends). Measuring with a multimeter I have 12.08v on the +12v and the card's core is reading 1.29-1.3v (both measurements at load), right where it should be. I don't think the PSU is the problem. As for temps, they are fine until it reaches 60C and some problem with the drivers kicks the fan down to default (~40% speed). Then the te

So far I'm not so sure if this card is even semi-bad ass! :NOTSURE: But yeah, tomorrow I'm going to try stock speeds and see what happens. The card isn't an SLI board but it has the two PCIx16 slots and it's in the one I've always used. I don't think that's the problem, but thanks for the suggestion.

I also got a few crashes in Crysis and the Firefly benchmark in 3DMark06 always results in a BSOD telling me that the Nvidia driver crashed before the scene even starts. I'm hoping for another new BETA or something on guru3d so I can see what happens. I'll try lowering the clocks even more tomorrow.

That's what I was thinking. I was also playing Civ 4 earlier today and got a BUNCH of 2-3 second hangs and times when half of the screen would dissapear then repear a few seconds later. Then it would get worse and eventually I'd have a big glob of artifacts in the upper right of my screen. I'm not sure if all of this is driver related or not, as I haven't gotten the OC on this card straightened out yet. I got a really bad overclocker, it's barely stable at those speeds.

I don't understand this one. I just stepped up from an 8800GTS 512 to a new 9800GTX and for some reason I'm getting bad lag when I zoom in on some areas. It's usually in one specific area, like I can zoom in on a more crowded, but slightly different area and have perfect FPS. I'm talking drastic changes, as in going from straight 60 down to 2 or 3 FPS. I'm using the official release of the 174.74 drivers for my 9800GTX and while I was waiting for my step up I was using an old 7900GS with the BET

This happens when I try to start up Crysis with my newest DVD drive. It only gives me some clicking noises and no other response, so I need to use my other DVD drive. Nothing more than an inconvenience because I have other drives, but for somebody with only one drive this must suck. :( It's a LITE-ON drive, by the way. Never had any other problems with it and Sins works fine. Just not Crysis.

I think the graphics in Sins are amazing for how well it runs. I was expecting to be watching a slide show on my 7900GS while I waited for my step-up, but I'm staying above 50fps all of the time, unless I'm running at 8x or 6x on a big map with lots of AI. And then it's the single core usage that's holding me back, not the GPU. All while keeping a beautiful look. For how it performs, Sins looks amazing. Oh, you mean the graphics that you're having trouble with. Sorry, I thought you were

Yeah, before I reinstalled the drivers I restarted the game to see if it was just a fluke and it looks like it was. I reinstalled the drivers anyway and it still works fine. Looks like it was a one time "deal." Good luck to you guys who still are looking for solutions. What kind of video problems do you have, unit? A 9600GT should be able to play Sins pretty well if a 7900GS (albeit, voltmodded) can.

Same problem here with a 7900GS and the unofficial 174.70 drivers. I'll try updating to the official 174.74 betas. If that doesn't do anything, I'll bookmark this page and update when I get my 9800GTX back from step-up (sent in an 8800 GTS 512, not the 7900). PS: This started with the 1.04 patch, my 7900GS and 8800GTS worked fine in 1.03.

This happens in The Witcher also, on the trees when AA is enabled. It's some problem associated with AA :( Sure hope Nvidia or the developers find a fix. Oh god, I'm sorry, didn't look at the dates :(

Yah, my graphics drivers are up to date. And yah, I'm talking about the "All Programs". I had this problem ever since I started using WB I think, and it went away about a month ago unexpectedly. Dunno how I got it to happen. Back now though

Ok, it seems like the flickering is finally gone. Now just about those collapsing menus... whatever you wanna call em. They just like disapear almost immediately after they expand.

Sorry man, I'm not in the best mood tonight... Anyways, here's the new sys. info. Ok, nvm, I had to like right click it and access some nearly-hidden "registration" where I had to enter my code a second time. It's asking me to restart my computer again. For a second time. I'll be back in a few.

I switch to my old skin and I don't have flickering, but I still have my Start > All Programs collapsing before I can even make a selection. It even does this in my ORIGINAL XP skin.

Ok, I just bought the thing over again. I have the current version, 5.1 and the toolbar is still flickering. Now I'm pretty mad. A Stardock official told me my problem would be resolved by updating my program, which cost me $20. This didn't help at all. Infact, it is exactly the same except now my tabs under Start > All Prgrams collapse before I can even click them. Thank you for making my bad situation worse, Stardock! And thank you for wasting my $20!

Like I said, it's telling me I don't have a serial. I'm just gonna buy the thing over. I honestly think this 1 skin is worth 20 bucks. Shame I need to buy a half-broken program to use it

Got the email, but it says WB isn't registered to it. Guess I'm stuck paying this 20 bucks over. Oh, and I've never heard of clipmate.
