Yeah, rather lame how it's set up. I paid in full for v6, was promised free upgrades, but because it wasn't by a specific date, I get nothing and I'm supposed to pay full-price again.

If you're right, that does sound promising. [e digicons][/e] Edit: That was supposed to be a quote/reply to BCXtreme.
First, just let me state for the record that I love WindowBlinds and I can't imagine running my computer without it. That said, I have to ask myself, Why should I upgrade to v7? I currently own just WindowBlinds 6 by itself, not the suite which comes with everything. So for me, and I'm sure other users, should I choose to upgrade, I would have to pay to do so. What I'm wondering is, What makes WB7 worth upgrading to? What sets it apart from WB6? How is it any different? What new/better featur
No, I just have WindowBlinds by itself. I saw it was available in Impulse but said my registration wasn't valid. So I figured it was probably not a free upgrade then but thought I'd ask anyhow. Thanks for clearing that up for me. [e digicons][/e]
Just wondering, is WindowBlinds 7 not a free upgrade for WB6 owners? Sorry if this has been asked before, didn't see it in my search.
I just ran a virus scan using the latest version of Avast and it's telling me that wbsrv.dll is a virus. From the warning message's window: "A suspicious file has been detected (using a heuristic method). This may be a sign of malware infection. Please allow the file to be submitted to our virus lab for analysis. Filename: C:\PROGRA~1\Stardock\OBJECT~1\WINDOW~1\wbsrv.dll Type: Rootkit: hidden process" I'm just wondering, is
Does this program even work on Windows XP? Maybe that's the problem. I can run WindowBlinds just fine, but this MyColors thing has been an absolute nightmare thus far. Edit: MyColors simply will not work for me. And through Impulse, I cannot find Theme Manager. However, I went into Stardock Central instead and was finally able to install the new/latest version of Theme Manager.
[edit: see following post]
I have the absolute latest version of Impulse, but I don't have a "Store" tab at the top. How do I get it to show up? I've tried reinstalling already... that didn't work. Edit: I managed to get to that MyColors thing, installed that, et cetera... and now Theme Manager has vanished completely. I should have stated that first. I wanted the latest version of Theme Manager, I had 2.something but it always asked for a serial so I couldn't update. Now I don't even see it in I
Sorry if this is the wrong section of the forum to ask. Just curious though, does anyone know which skin/theme this is? https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/images/header.png
How do you get Impulse to display betas? I'm not seeing that version in Impulse either. It did update IconX, IconPackager, and some other programs I have that SDC apparently wasn't, though. Glad about that.
It's weird... that version was showing up since I had it set to display betas. When I turned that off, it went back to 6.09...something. Now when I enable betas again, the version I mentioned in my original post doesn't show up at all. I've never heard of Impulse, I'll give it a try and see if that works. Right now, I'm stuck with 6.03, can't get it to update to 6.09 either with SDC.
I'm trying to install the latest update through Stardock Central. It downloads wb6.sdc, gets to 100%... and then starts downloading the same file over again. It does this endlessly, redownloading the same file in a loop. Any idea what's wrong or how I can get it to install?
I was just wondering, is it possible to activate WindowBlinds on a PC that has no internet connection?
I've just updated WB6 through Stardock Central. In there, it says the currently installed version is 6.01 (6.01c[b].106, specifically). However, when I view System Info from within WB6 itself, it says I'm using 6.02. So... which version is it? 6.01 or 6.02?
Same problem here.
I just went ahead and installed over the old version. It didn't cause any problems whatsoever.
Just wondering, should I uninstall v5 before I upgrade to the newly released v6?

Ahh, duh! I looked up my credit card bill and found that I purchased WindowBlinds on 06/26/2007. So that means I should get the upgrade to v6 for free.
Hmm... when I look up my registrations on WinCustomize, the "End Date" is blank. All I see there are the programs I have, my registration codes, and links to download copies of the programs. I don't see anything about purchase dates.
I did that actually, and it still shows up blank in the about box. It's not that important or anything, the program works just fine and is registered. I just wondered why it was blank.
I downloaded it from the e-mail that Stardock sent me when I purchased it from the website.
Thanks for the info. Now, if I could just recall when I purchased the program...
I only have WindowBlinds as a standalone, I don't have the entire Object Desktop suite.
