I've been thinking about just putting money making structures on my planets and using no industry. Basically I would just buy everything when I get enough funds. I wouldn't rely on conventional means to get ships fast or get upgrades to my planets fast. Not one factory would be present on my worlds. It would just be all research/approval/economic structures. Has anybody tried this? I really like the idea of being an economic super giant.

Title says it all. Right now, as I am getting more and more used to the concepts of the game I am toying with making a massive planet where its basically just farms, entertainment structures to keep them happy, and economic boosting planets. So what is the biggest population you have had on a single planet? How much money was it making from income, and what class planet was it?

Sabotage would be great, it would really make the game that much more immersive. Stealing ships, crippling morale, destroying planetary buildings, copying research. That would be scary, you would have to really make sure you don't get sabotaged and focus quite a bit or resources on harder levels if it found its way into the game.

I find it funny that all of you people saying multiplayer in a turn based game is boring. If you don't like it, and you find it boring, don't play it. It is that simple. Atleast allow the other people who would like to play against friends in epic struggles have the option to do so. Online multiplayer gaming is the wave of the future and allows for much more in depth game play, and a bigger personal feeling.
