See, that has literally never happened to me. Sometimes, I'm playing through the game during a massive galactic war, and all of a sudden - poof! I get a video and message stating that a minor race has been exterminated. They're good if you want lots of trade variety, but overall I barely even notice them - their planets are hard to find, too. I agree- the only way for ME to make them noticable is to give them free stuff every turn. I do'nt know about you, Farkas, but I wish cool st

Actually, I'm sort of working on something like that. Not really. It's nothing special - basically, it ramps up the frequency of United Planets Council issues from every what, 20 weeks to about half that. It doesn't get annoying, trust me - I'm working on some UI stuff to keep it unique. Anyway, all I'm really doing is throwing in a bunch more of those event types - I say that a race of furry rats have increased its livablitiy, or a huge mine of silver nitrate was found and it help Terraform
You guys can read the title. I have some work done on a pack of anomolies and ship stuff, and a pack of stuff done on flavour text and tasty events. I can only devote my time to one right now. Which do you guys want to see first?
There's one major thing I'd like to see. I like the major races, but I enjoy playing as my own, so I frequently make custom races. Understandable. However, the flavour text for events like first colonization, GNN and Quarterly Reports, Opening Text, and the adroids I see get stale. I'd like to see more news stuff. Throw in some humourous stories about a man drinking 500 Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters before combusting, or about the Earth Alliance captain who loses his glasses and comm
In stuff like classic Sci-Fi like Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylong 5, Hitchhikers' Guideetc, there are hundreds of other races. Others have fewer, more consolidated alien species, such as Battlestar Galactica, Freelancer Astro Boy, Halo, any of the thousands of not-licensed-in-the US animes. I prefer the former, with lots of little guys to keep track of and a few majors.
I uninstalled my game and made a new client folder, then got the cheats. I mean, same directory, but..yeah. Don't work.
3. A meaningful espionage portion of the game. I gather this is in the next expansion anyway. This should be another valid path to victory ratehr than an interesting distraction. 4. New races/Better distinction of existing races. Either way works for me if the team find a way to genuinely make each race play differently via unique game mechanics, units e
SUCH AN AWESOME idea. I honestly would pay money for stuff like this. I'm pretty anal retentive about my colonies.
The Way of Time? What is it? White Chamber, man! Walking through a hall and having a streetlight has never been so scary. Seeing unreadable writing all over the wall was scary as hell. And, oh, my favorite part. After you lower the elevator bridge to the main floor, you can't go back to the room you started in. If you do, you see that the elevator console reads, "NO TURNING BACK" in big red letters. I'm not foolin', check it out! It's freeeee!
I always feel bad when I take over a race, because I feel like I'm eradicating all trace that they ever existed. Having them in there would be a great step toward further immersion.
Oohh! OOOOH! Everyone, my personal scariest game ever - The White chamber. It's a surreal horror sci-fi game that, despite being in space, seemed more like a classical fantasy horror sort of thingy to me. Terribly frightening, mostly with the "WHAT THE HELL? THAT SHOULDN'T BE HERE!" Moments. I.E. being teleported to a beach. That was weird. Despite the lack of other characters and such, the cutscenese, shiny anime stylings and pants-pissing art made this game one
When I increased the resolution and set the game to windowed mode, I can't access the buttons anymore! I can't play or reset the game's options!
I remember pirates- they only attacked me once. Once. Their ships were outdated and pathetic- they didn't make a big difference, but they made the universe more livley.
For me, it was a strange fungus ripping through a few of my colonies. I think it was in an event pack, but that doesn't reduce its strength. 4 out of 9 of my colonies were rendered nearly useless Dead Worlds, with a planetary class of 4 or less after the "Explode-a-ma-jig Fungus Outbreak of Turn 124".
Well, I know of "This better be important" and "What do you need" and, "Hey, buddy! I gots some great hoops to shoot and some skulls around the fire pit! Want to chat?" Strangely enough, all 3 are Yor.
