game resets PC when i start a game, why? in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I just got this game home and installed it, downloaded v 1.1 and i cant get it to run because it resets my PC after i go through the setup screens and attempt to start a game. anyone know why? i really dont wanna have to return this game
