I don't know how you guys are gettin' that. I did all the steps above and my load times are still more than a minute.
Did you exclude the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Control - Origins directory or the C:\Users\[Your Name]\Documents\My Games\Star Control directory. The first one is the correct one. I originally did the second one, which didn't help.
I also tried it. My loading time decreased from 2 minutes to 13 seconds.
I read through the Codex and found some errors. Rather than post 13 screenshots, I zipped them together. They are available here . Here is one example.
I had seen what looked like a problem with Uranus in an earlier video or screenshot, so I installed the Adventure to see if I was right. In the game Uranus is tilted on its side like it really is, but the moons aren't. The reality is that the whole system is tilted, not just the planet. Space Virus SC1N1 A reason why it's dangerous to travel through the unknown areas of the galaxy. Rumor has it that, long ago, a virus found a tiny rip in the fabric of space and was able to cross from this universe into an alternate universe. There it found several forms of life that were similar to life found in this universe, but were also different. Attempts to infect the life there were not always successful. Some virus particles made it back to this universe a
