Crash when trying to start new game 1.7 c in Beta Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I just updated tp the newest beta and tried running the game. Everything was fine for the first saved game I loaded, ok so far so good. Then the second time I played the with the new beta I was unable to load any saved games or autosaves. So, I wrote off that game I was playing and tried to start a new game. Now it crashes to desktop right after I try to choose map size and the other game options (tech rate, minor races etc.) I can't even get a new game going so for now not only can I not p

oh man these are great! I agree that if you have time a Wells class timeship would make a great tiny hull (they look awesome as fighters) Keep up the good work man!
