Problems with the game and downloads in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I am quite new with all of this, so I am sorry if something I write seems out of date or whatever ( I get so confused over theese forums) Anyway, for one, I got no idea how to download the updates, usually I just log online with the game and get it down automaticly.
