Is there any way to get to the ship designer without being in a game? If not, is there a way to unlock the technology limits? I lost all my data in a hard drive crash, and I'd like to create ships without having to play a game for hours and hours to get the required techs. I have a good friend with a 3d printer, and I'm itching to get some designs printed!

So your saying I should call in sick for the rest of the week starting tomorrow instead of today; although, I don’t know how productive I’ll be at work today. I suppose I can a get through a day of work, then play all night. Need..... my.... Entrenchment......
Check out the SoaSE website. Unless it’s all a cruel hoax, all of us long suffering pre-purchase people will be playing the beta TODAY!
I figure the problem is that the expansion is SO good that the testers so far have had a high rate of hearts exploding from shear excitement. Once they tone things down to reduce the heart explosion factor, they’ll release the expansion. <span style="font-size: 7.5pt; color: black; font-family: Verdana; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language:
That did it, thank you. I was looking for options under the video tab. I didn’t see these options on the interface tab. Still plenty of eye candy, yet it runs very smooth. I’m surprised, as combat viewer was choppy as soon as ships took damage, and not just when ships exploded. Now with simple explosions checked the entirety of combat runs smooth. Again, thanks for the quick response
Since I've had DA I've had no problems with graphics, except for in combat. With the latest build, the game plays great with all graphics settings maxed out, except for in combat. When ships take damage, and explode, the video gets very choppy. Does anyone know what graphic settings I can change that will help with combat performance?
