Hey, thought of something else. 14. The ability to target a planet producing a ship, then right click on the rally point you want it to send ships to. Also, as mentioned above, show a line from the planet to the rally point on the main screen. Personally, I'd be happy with any system that ends micro-management of starbases. The starbase governor sounds good, or the idea mentioned about it automatically sending constructors to starbases that need upgrading. As

I guess I should've explained some of my points a little better. Especially the starbase one. 1. My basic point was that we have to micro-manage starbases, and I'm sure Stardock was trying to avoid that by looking at the way they handled planets. When I mentioned starbases automatically getting upgrades, I should've said "over a certain amount of time". I kinda mentioned it upgrading at a certain speed based on your manufacturing level, but I wasn't that clear. As far as instant-

After playing God knows how many hours of this game, I can honestly say that I do love the game. However, there are things in this game that really need fixing, or improving. 1. Stardock did a fantastic job on keeping micro-management of planets down to a minimum. They then completely blew it on starbases. Perhaps I'm the only one, but I'm sick of building literally hundreds of constructors, picking a starbase that needs improvement, then sliding over to that starbase and right-

I would say there is a 95% chance that your opponent with all of the overwhelming influence has control of one or two influence resources. These dramatically affect influence levels. If you control two of them, then your opponents will start falling to your influence without you doing anything about it.

Um isn't this part of the challenge of the game?Try thinking of ways to counter act it instead of taking away the obstacle. It's these kind of comments that annoy me, but I'll try to remain calm. Talon, what more do you propose I do to "counter act" the influence in the situation above, other than go to war...which is what I did. I research

I thought I would throw this discussion out there since I think it is relevant. I've noticed that resource mining has a dramatic impact on the game...too dramatic. A good example is a game I played where another race was overwhelming me with influence. I researched all the influence techs, and all of the government techs. I even put one or two cultural exchange centers on each planet. Even after all of that, their influence had creeped deep into my territory. Really, really, deep. I had t

RTFM The manual has to be wrong. According to the manual, all of the attack values of all of your ships in a fleet are added together in one big roll. Which, if you watch the combat viewer, obviously doesn't happen.

Lets not forget that the bad guys always give the good guys a chance to surrender, and then the good guys always turn around and blast them! "Put down your weapon!"....."Aaaaghghhh". "Freeze!"....."Aaaahaghgh".

Don't listen to the fanboys Ezolak, this game is unusually buggy, however I'm still having a blast playing it. I've caught myself adapting to all of the bugs, rather than expecting them to be fixed. Disappearing/reappearing ships, screen doesn't always center on the selected ship, planetary emprovements that lower my influence rather than raise it (doesn't happen everytime), game crashes sometimes when I save over my old designs. I know there's mor

Whoa! I'm embarrassed. I looked it up in the tech tree, and sure enough, there was the nano-ripper under singularity 4. This tech confuses me, why use anything else? Sure it's more expensive, but the offensive punch that early in the game is more than worth it. That also makes me wonder what good is creativity? I've not seen anything that appears to help me from creativity.

Let me tell you my story about Creativity. I selected Creativity in a custom race that I made. About half way into the game I got attacked by the Iconians, they were easily ten times more powerful than me. Their fleets had insane levels of logistics and their total beam weapon attack values were hitting 170, while my fleet projectile was around 40. So I started doing heavy research in projectile weapons. Later in the game I decided to see if I cou
