i recon they should just wait till gc3. I cant imagine ill still be playing this game heavily by the time a second expansion comes along. I like the game alot, for now, but i do feel its life time for me will be limited.

I detailed game manual, that will magically update itself when things change after each patch
when the no tech trading is allowed, how can you work out what tech the AI have? Can you do it with spying? Playing my first game with no tech trading now and i have no idea if im doing ok or not
slightly unrelated, but in 1.1 do minor races appear more often than in 1.0.x? Just curious, as ive only ever seen 1 minor race in a game, but i tend to play small/medium maps with quite a few races and little free space. Any tricks to see more of them in a game?
Whats the chance of getting an rss feed for the forum/news/journals some time in the future? Id appreciate it alot, spending WAY to much time surfing the forums at work, i need a more covert way to keep up to date
Id like a blackhole generator, which gradually sucks everything within a certain range, say 10 parsecs, into it, say over 10 weeks.
I play tough setting with 1.0.x and from what i have seen the AI is awful at developing planets. They seem to build incorrect buildings on bonus tiles, do ridiculous things like build econ capitals on planets with no econ buildings or worse still build them on planets at risk of influece revolt. Its easily my most dissapointing aspect of the AI so far, hoping its improved in the 1.1 patch.
Im getting older and have less free time these days. I did like the tactical combat in moo/moo2 somewhat as it ment i could win fights with inferrior ship generally, but it was more of a pain and waste of time than anything. I like the combat in gc2, its simple and quick, allowing me to get back to the empire management and keep a roll on, its hard finding the time to play as it is without making a game take longer. I also think that the fact im not ac
It would be cool if you could assign them to different sectors, and when a sector is completely maped it will indicate to the player so i they can tell the scout which sector to map next
1. I dont have an answer, just an additional related question. Is there ANY benefit in continued funding after reaching advanced level espionage?
Id agree that is was released a bit premature but i dont care. Some of the bugs have been a bit annoying but ive generally found work-arounds. What i love is the developers are activally still working on it. Ok, lets say they had waited 6 more months before release. That would have been 6 months without a pretty good game right now. With so many people playing it they are finding bugs alot quicker, and as a community of players wer
It wraps around after two. I look forward to playing the brand new Galactic Civilizations I on my nano-circuit implant in 30 years. You mean the xbox 666?
What i would like is the overflow MP from building a ship to go into producing the next, simply because i waste a tone of time tweaking the sliders throughout the game to minimize wastage. If it overflowed id be more inclined to just click turn more often and get a bit more of a roll on.
One of the problems is this forum software is [expletive]!*@#$&^[/expletive] Its differcult for people to find old posts meaning recuring posts are made time and again
What, no LAN? Citizen Hen You Bastards 3/26/2006 11:17:53 PM We weren't sure about the hot seat, but every game should be LANable. This is really weak. i don't care how fun it is, any game that can't be easily played with friends is not a game worth playing. i highly reccomend you th
I was under the impressions that more than one trade module on a ship has no additional effect. Is this correct?
Im just curious to know if anyone else thinks a hexagon grid would be better than the square grid used in gc2 (and others like civ) I think it would feel more natural, particularly with things like starbase ranges, ship maximum ranges.... Although the square grid has helped me to brush up on my trig a bit recently. But it would definaly make movement more tricky, there would be 6 directions to go in instead of 4, but could al
I design my own ships and add a version number, like v1 Defender, v2 Defender.... After i research a new ship tech and im close to constructing a ship in a colony i go to the ship builder and see if i can make an improved design and if i can i make for example a v3 Defender. You can change what ship a colony is producing without penalty, so id change production from v2 to v3 Defender
I just picked my copy up from an EB in sydney. This store only had enough copies for the pre-orders, but its in sydney at least and should be possible for people to get a copy now.
I pre-ordered a copy at EB yesterday, shop dude recons it could be in any time over the next week but wasnt sure. Luckily they will call me when its in so I dont need to waste time searching for a copy.
