Newbie question about Trade Modules in Trade GalCiv2 Forums

Hi, I just got the game today, and I'm playing the first mission in the campaign ... for some reason, I don't seem to be able to equip any of my ships with a trade module? I don't even see this module in the ship designer ... I already have the trade centre in place on my home planet ... am I missing something? Thanks a lot for your help!
