I think he means that if say, you research one technology of a certain branch, say Weapons Level I Then you would get Laser I, Miniballs *I think it is* I, and ...Missiles I, all in the same technology. Problem with that as I see it, is that I don't know how you would work the balancing in that and whatnot, but, wouldn't it be possible by say, removing both the Missile and Mass Driver Branches, and requiring both missile and MD weapons to only have this special "Weapons I"

Windowed Mode? in Game Talk GalCiv2 Forums

I've been searching in the forums here for a little while and I couldn't manage to find what I was looking for. Is there a way to run GalCiv in windowed mode by chance? If anything it would probably be changing the shortcut to have a "-w" after it, but, I'm not sure, and I don't feel like trying 3 million things before I finally find it out, if it even exists at all. Any one know?
