This is bad. If I do not get a formal reply explaining how to burn a legitimate copy I wish to immediately RETURN my copy and exchange it for a hard copy. (I don't mind paying S&H). This is completely unacceptable to me. I hope to hear from SD and their enthusiastic support on this issue. Please advise.

Is the SDC installer the 7MB setup .exe file or is there something else this one downloaded? Thanks for the quick replies. All I need now is some gameplay advice as my behind is being handed to me by the AI so far...

For the record: I want my games to be playable 10 years from now (I still play MOM or MOO or MOO2 on occasion). I do not wish to rely on the existence of SD or SD Central then. I just want an installer, darn it. (It can still ask me registeration keys if it wants, no problem there.)

???? This created a .sdc file in the backup folder not like an installable .exe or .zip file. What do I do with this file? (and seemingly I need to do this separately for movies / multimedia etc. ?! ) I will simply never purchase online again if this is meant to be this opaque to the end user. Hi there, Despite my qualms with SD Central the install went without a hitch. I have one problem, however. How can I burn a backup CD of my download? (I don't know where the downloaded files went to.) I wish to have a backup copy in case of a weird scenario like SD goes out of business tomorrow or something. (Needless to say I purchased this fair and square and have no intention of passing the CD onto anyone else.) Than
