From the top of my mind: Mr. Average: You seem like "one of us" to everyone but the elite. The risk of revolt from the lower classes is minimal, but the elite looks down on you, giving your enemies an easy way to get spies into your kingdom. Bad childhood - self-medication: Due to an unhappy childhood you have sought ways to soothe your pain, finding it in consumables. Potions are twice as effective for you, but you risk getting addicted.

I have this problem as well and it starts as soon as I've seen the level up screen of the sovereign or the unit desig screen. I have a Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT and have pretty recent drivers. Will update them and test again though. Rishkith: Which ones did you turn off?

I have the same problem. If I try to restart the game afterwards I get bluescreen of death. Also, on loading a game, neither any towns nor troops, including the sovereign, were shown. My debug.err: http://pastebin.com/m746a47ef
I thought this too. But never forget, that many games where released ARENT BUGGED OR IMBALANCED( In earlier times...!). I mean today there arent so many of this kind. but for example on a console (N64, Gamecube and so on...) there was no support - Because there was no need! The thing I wanna say is, that if they made the games without bugs and network problems, there wouldnt have been a need for the last 2-3 months of support. Got it? [/q

I like complexity as long as it's transparent what the different options do. MOO3 absolutely sucked in this regard. Lots and lots of exciting options but not clear enough information. A lot of options can be really intimidating (and irritating) especially if they are not crystal clear. Someone mentioned a way to reduce the need to micro-manage by having the computer calculate a caravan route automatically and then being able to change the route manually if one wants to. I like

The journal updates keep me coming back to the sites of all your games, which keeps my interest up. The honest and, most of the time, friendly communication makes me like Stardock and want to support you. So for people who are like me these updates means more sales in the long run.

I believe you just have to contact [email protected]. Edit: I will not buy an extra copy, since I don't have the money. ;) I will however recommend it to my friends when connectivity is a bit more stable.

Iw will be released for pre-orders today 9-12 EDT (13-16 GMT if I'm correct [+1 due to day-light savings?]). Stardock will send out emails with the correct keys around this time and after that you will be able to download it through Impulse. Hope I understood you correctly and that I answered correctly as well ;)

for me that would be the game as Torchbearer where I first realized how powerful the freeze spells + shatter is. I loved how I dominated that game. I soon realized however that I had been playing against AI:s and that it wasn't nearly as easy to do against real opponents. The first time I played a custom game with only human opponents was a real treat for me as well :)

Didn't find this one, though I didn't check it that carefully. Was playing a 4v4 on cataract. Two guys crashed in the beginning, but we could continue with 3v3 with one AI on each side. Quite shortly before we would've won it crashed, while I was attacking the citadel and enemy demigods. I was playing as TB. End of my log: debug: Loading module '\000/lua/sim/tasks/endshoptask.lua\000' debug: Loading module '\000/lua/formations.lua\000

I wonder if it really is correct that most people buy games the first couple of days, and if DRM therefore is succesful if it lasts just a little while? I personally never bought and never will buy a game on day one. I either pre-order it, buy it at a discount later or sometimes wait a couple of weeks for the first patches to come out. Do pre-orders count as "first-day-sold"? If so then the statistics used to say that DRM helps early sales is skewed. What does count as
Svenitor, as far as I know the problems happened because of having non-standard letters like äöüâáà etc in your windows login-name or in any of the folders Demigod saves files to. (I think in some languages some system folders unfortunately have non-standard characters). I'd strongely hope they fixed that problem by now, but if it is your username causing the problem you can circumvent that problem if
