hehe actually wetware there is a Hint which explains the morale resource saying it produces some sort of liquid or something which promotes a sense of well being in your people. I knew it! It's Flouride, right?! I knew it! I just knew the government was controlling our minds with the stuff! Fighting tooth decay my eye...... <img src

I added my two cents worth to that petition. I think both sites should have subforums for the other, because that way modders for both can see what the other is doing, and maybe get even more ideas to make both great games even better!

A couple of turns before I was ready to carry out my attack plan against the Thalans, I noticed a fleet of 3 Thalan heavy fighters are cruising around my home planet. Now, my ships are all set up to attack along the borders, and I don't have the resources to build ships fast enough to take them out before the invasion, so I tried to buy them. I noticed they are all "M5-something or other", so I go into the trade screen, and along with the ships they had for sale were three heavy fighters, "M5-so

But how many people use an old tech fireplace for actually heating their house (As opposed to a quaint decorative addition that they fire up occasionally for a romantic evening). heh....even with all our technology, nothing beats fire for settin' the mood.... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmid

"We dont forget the older tech in real life when we find a better one, do we ?" I think we do Then why are houses still being built with fireplaces? I think if the AI (or player) can empty the planet of buildings, then the

I think what the OP is trying to say is that at mid-game, the newer factories are too expensive and take too long to build on a new world compared to the factories at the start of the game, and there should be an option to use the older factories as 'starter kits'. It's not a matter of patience or making it easier, it's about not having your old technology inaccessable. And conquered planets can't flip because all the original inhabitants are dead. The only ones left on th

I've found a way to extort money from the Minors, but it's a bit of an exploit: Once you are sure that you can take the Minor's planet ON THAT TURN, i.e., make sure they have no ships left, and you have enough troops to take it, talk to them and sell them all your techs, etc. for all the money they have. You get thier money, and you don't have to worry about them selling your techs to anyone else, because they are wiped out at the end of thi

I tried to use the more even distribution of stars, but for some reason the maps did not turn out very well. I still think that under tight clusters, the map generator should be able to avoid the huge gaps that appear on the map, but its not a big deal. If you set it for loose clusters, you will decrease those dead zones. I generally play gigan

Ok, after having having the music from GCII haunt my dreams the past two nights from playing so much, I have a couple of questions: 1. Does Stellar Cartography actually do anything? I've zoomed in and out and looked, and looked, but I just cannot see any difference in the minimap regarding planet qualities. I thought it was supposed to help you see which planets were habitable in the minimap so you don't have to explore the whole universe, but they all look the same to me.. <img sr

1. How about fixing the way ships set to auto-explore tend to hang around the edges of the map? 2. More randomness choices for new games. Random AI intelligence, random AI, random techs, abilities, stats for custom race. 3. When starting a new game can you fix it so everyone is spread out a little better? Or at least fix it so the player isn't usually boxed into a corner at the start of a new game. 4. Definatly have the minimap move with the main map!

Quote: "For example I tried to delete one design and the popup didn't appear so I clicked it another 4 times and gave up. At the end exiting the summary screen I got all the popup in sequence So I said OK for the first one - fine, then OK for the second one and..." I've noticed this with auto-survey as well in the ship details screen. If there are no more anomolies, and you try to check the auto-survey box, it just unchecks itself, then
