I would just make demigod 2. If demigod 1 would of released with smooth multiplayer and a good ladder, you would of had a smash hit on your hands. With that smash hit, you would of had alot more money, which in turn would of kept the expansion packs coming, new maps and the like. This is a great game, when you make demigod 2, I would look to add even more Stragey elements in the basebuilding part. Make it a true hybrid of strategy and pvp.

I only play multiplayer games. So the good news, I haven't really experienced any bugs because I won't really play it till multiplayer comes out. The one game I did play solo the AI sucked and I stompped it on a rush.

Listen, I know Brad is going to fix this game. He is dedicated and his team is dedicated. But, the AI blows right now and there is no multiplayer in the game. I wouldn't mind if the AI sucked if I could play online.
also i would add sir to be careful with the way you react towards comments and all. I have had another run in with another game developer: Derek Smart he is the founder of 3000 Ad and the Universal Combat series of games... However unlike Sins of a Solar Empire, 3000 AD has yet to make a game that was highly praised or really good. His attitude seems to be that he feels his ideas are the best in the world and refuses to list

I really don't think he should of apologized. I don't see anything wrong with what he said. Yeah the game was released early in terms of overall polish. But, it is playable and I'm happy I have it now and I was in the beta. Heck I was in the very first beta ages ago. I bought this game because I know in the end, they will make it right. Good job Brad and seriously I would of just told people to blow me. I think what you said was prett

Is there a place that describes what the difficulty levels do? Meaning does insane give the CPU a bonus or make it smarter? I want a "fair" game where the CPU doesn't cheat, but is the most difficult to play against fairly. Jason

I've been out of touch for a while on business. I came back the other day to the early release for beta testers. I was stoked. I'm really happy so far, but Multiplayer is not on. Is this just for the prerelease or is this something that will be turned on when it is completed? I'm really looking forward to multiplay.

That is fine. You guys know that Stardock is going to provide it. They have integrity and well a simple love for this game. They made this game because they wanted to, not because they had to. I hope it does well comercially. Fingers crossed.
The Elemental engine is an RTS engine. But when we played through tactical battles it just came back over and over again to discussions on the forums where users were understandably expecting combat to be more along the lines of Master of Magic, Xcom, HOMM, etc. And it just plays better.
Why can't you turn on "both" then? Let the users decide. Or if you need to focus on one. ( I would r
Tactical Battles. Tactical battles haven’t been part of the beta but they’ve been heavily discussed. Originally, tactical battles were designed to be RTS. Then Continuous turns. But as time has gone on, it’s become clear that the gameplay that people (and frankly that we enjoyed the most) was more closest to XCom. That is, turn based. Tile based. Moving units to the best spots. And eventually working to have your units in sp

I think its very cool how you do these journals and describe the process. I design software, but in the "oil fields" here in Texas. I want my programmers to read this stuff, so they can understand the concept of ittertive development.

You guys see that GPG stated they won't be using Impulse with their future game. I read it in one of the E3 write ups about Supreme Commander II. That makes me sad... I feel pretty comfortable that you will eventually get this fixed and once you do it will be rock solid. What network code do you guys use with Sins?

But I think that should be weighted with what the average user who gets Demigod will experience and in reality, as annoying as this issue is, it’s not something that’s going to be an ongoing issue, it’s something that is likely to be taken care of in the next day or two. So this time next w
What is going on these days with company reps feeling obligated to explain the intricate deatils of the inner-workings of their, engine, business strategies, technical issues. Hi: I've been gone the last month and havent' been on the boards or had a chance to test. It says I have a new version availble for update, but is telling my registration is not valid. I had preordered and been testing for over 4 months now. Did we get new codes or something? I'm a bit confused.

Excellent game. It is really coming along nicely. I'm liking it. Sure, it has alot of balancing and polishing that needs done. But, the game runs flawlessly on my rig with max graphics. It has fun and compelling gameplay. I can only imagine how much better it will get. I think target time should be about 15 minutes if a person is really outclassed to about an hour for 2 evenly matched opponents.
