I get the same joy watching my 6 year old son (also Alex) play Minecraft. He has built an entire huge city--he recreates places like McDonalds and WalMart, has designed something he calls "Cops and Robbers" with a jail, built fantastic roller coaster, wired redstone into circuits and many things I have no clue about in the game. The cool thing is that he knows where everything is in the game and can use the keyboard/mouse like any good American kid should. Marv

I remember that article in Game Developer magazine! I was skimming through it and I saw the name "Stardock" and it caused me to stop and check it out and then I went straight to the by-line and saw "Brad Wardell." I remember emailing you and saying, "Is this Macros from Stardock BBS?" LOL. I think the Westboro Baptist folks may be capable of the same type of thing under the right circumstances. Fact of the matter is there are nut cases in every religion. I have known some Muslim people who are very nice, loving people. I have also known a nice grandmother-type Church of Christ lady here in Tennessee--sweet lady who says that Hitler was right to kill 6,000,000 Jews.

Excellent article, Brad. I'm not even remotely near your financial level of success--I spend 50+ hours a week as a finance manager at a dealership and I spend a good 25 a week programming apps that I sell for the PC as well as iOS. This Game Reminds me of Paintball in Demigod Demigod Forums

The first time I played paintball, the game started and I ducked behind a small piece of plywood. I popped my head over and saw a guy. I shot blindly and he also shot--hitting my gun-strap in the progress (a kill in paintball). I remember the guy well--he was wearing blue jeans and had a receeding hairline.
